I played with a number of different elements and combinations before I landed on this final card! I used the sketch at Paper Players Sketch #251 as inspiration. I colored the stamped peony and leaves from Altenew with Copic markers and layered them on top of the Memory Box die cut. I added a few tiny rhinestones for a little sparkle. Thanks for visiting.

- Spellbinders Nestabilities – “Lacey Circles”
- Stamp (thanks) – Lawn Fawn “Blue Skies”
- Patterned papers – Bella Blvd. “Color Chaos” collection
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Faber Castell Gelatos
Here is a colorful card for the day! I created this card for Operation Write Home and I was inspired by the current OWH Mid-month Challenge: Banners. Most of the banners for this card were made from the Avery Elle “Elle-ments” set. I mixed some Gelatos on white cardstock to match some of the colors in the pretty Bella Blvd papers. I spritzed the colors with water to create my own brightly colored paper that I die cut for the background butterfly. I placed the detailed, matching butterfly die cut on top to provide some definition of the wings. Both die cuts are securely adhered beneath the butterfly body so the wings float up a bit, to give the impression that the bug might fly off the paper! Thanks for stopping by.

At the end of the season, it is tradition for parents of the South Salem High School tennis team to thank the coaches for all of their work and many volunteer hours they’ve contributed. The team just had their end-of-year tournament and awards ceremony this past weekend. The team captains presented each of the three coaches a gift and one of these cards, signed by all of the players. Since the school colors are light blue, red and white, I used them as my palette for the card. I added some extra texture and sheen on one of the panels by applying pearl modeling paste through a stencil. These were fun cards to make! Thanks for stopping by. Go Saxons!

- Patterned paper – Doodlebug Designs “Easter Parade”

- Cardstock – Bazzill and Paper Accents
- Twine – Doodlebug Designs
Here is an Easter card, complete with a bunny and eggs! Challenge #15 at Simon Says Stamp Flickr Group is to make an Easter or Spring card this time around. I was inspired by Mojo Monday Sketch #390. I added some little touches of color with Copic markers to the stamped bunny and created the sentiment with my Lawn Fawn alphabet stamp set (Milo’s ABCs). Both of the dies I used are from a Simon Says Stamp set (Frames). I heat embossed the little Memory Box flower stamp and then attached a sparkly button on top for a handmade embellishment. The papers feature lots of Springtime colors. Thanks for visiting by today.

- Border punch – Martha Stewart “Embossed Zig Zag Edger”
- Embossing powder – White and Clear
- Kraft cardstock
- Prismacolors
I colored two little Lawn Fawn bunnies from a favorite stamp set with colored pencil for this card. I am participating in The Daily Marker’s 30-Day Coloring Challenge, during which we are to spend at least 10 minutes a day coloring for fun and relaxation. Today is the first day of Kathy’s challenge and I colored these little love bunnies during my lunch hour! I heat embossed them last night to make short works of it. Then I put down some base color and colored over the base with white colored pencil. It is a nice effect on the Kraft cardstock. I decided to use Kraft cardstock because it was part of the Simon Says Stamp/Lawn Fawn Flickr Card Challenge going on right now. We are to use Kraft, Lawn Fawn products or Simon Says Stamp products. So everything tied together nicely for this card. Thanks for visiting today.

- Patterned papers – Pebbles “We Go Together” collection: “Budding Romance” and “XOXO”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I’ve had these little Lawn Fawn hedgehog stamps in my stash for a little while and I finally got around to stamping and coloring them! I used Copic markers to give them a little color, hopefully showing enough strokes that there is an indication of little hedgehog spines. The Shopping our Stash (SOS #186) challenge this week is “Love Me Do,” requiring us to create a love-themed project. Thanks for stopping by.

- Owl – Hero Arts “OWH Missing You” set
- Sentiment – Lawn Fawn “Critters in the Forest” set
- Die – Hero Arts Frame Cuts – “Missing You Cuts OWH”
- Patterned papers – BoBunny “Trail Mix” collection 6 X 6″ paper pad
- Cardstock – Paper Accents
Here is a woodsy card for the day. I colored the owl with Copic markers after cutting it out with the matching die. I liked how the background patterned paper has a round motif and the circle die-cut behind the owl repeats that. This is OWH Sketch #245 and will be a good addition to my “Miss You” section of my Operation Write Home collection. Thanks for visiting.

I love this sketch from Retro Sketches (#13). This week’s Retro Sketches Challenge is a Wild Card, which means I can use any sketch from Retro Sketches for my card. I decided to try my hand at inlaid die cuts for this tag card. I cut the snowflakes from white cardstock and then inlaid them into die cuts in the tag so that the whole thing is flush. I did not do any stamping on this card–wow! That is pretty unusual, but die cuts were the stars for this one. It was also fun to use all of these different companies’ products combined into one card. Love to do that! Thanks for stopping by.

- Dies – Impression Obsession “Squirrel Set”
- Stamps – Lawn Fawn “Joy to the Woods” (tree) and Impression Obsession “Vertical Greetings”
- Patterned paper – Echo Park “Here and Now”
- Distress Inks – Ranger – Walnut Stain, Weathered Wood, and Black Soot
- Cardstock – Bazzill
When I first laid eyes on these squirrels, I could hardly stand it! I decided I wanted to color the squirrel die cuts and the stamped tree myself, rather than using colored paper. I cut the squirrels out of white cardstock and applied Distress Inks to get the desired colors. Then I stamped the tree trunks with brown ink, fussy cut them and then also applied Distress Inks to them. I popped up the squirrels with dimensional adhesive so they look like they are perched and climbing as squirrels would–very 3-D. It is tradition for me to make a squirrel birthday card for a friend, so this is what I came up with. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – Lawn Fawn “Snow Day” set
- Patterned paper – KaiserCraft “Bluebelle Collection: Capri” (both sides)
- Spellbinders Nestabilities – Standard Circles Large
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This is a very simple card in which I used a number of images from the new Lawn Fawn “Snow Day” clear stamp set. I colored the bunnies with Copic Markers and edged the elements with Black Soot Distress Ink. I added a smattering of little stamped hearts from the same stamp set down the left side of the main panel to tie the heart theme up. This week’s Friday Mashup challenge (#175) is to create a card using animals, so here it is. Thanks for visiting.
