I think this is a pretty wild bird, so it fits perfectly for The Paper Players Wild Thing Challenge. The background was made with Gelatos and water. Some of the Gelatos were metallic, so there is a subtle sheen. I colored the bird with Zig Clean Color markers and a water-brush. I popped him up inside the circle frame and that dimension almost makes him look like he’s swinging on it. Thanks for visiting today.

I created this card for my Mom on Mother’s Day. I framed the image with some circle die-cuts cut from patterned papers. I added some plaid patterned paper for the Plaid Challenge #87 at Addicted to CAS. There was a little bit of glitter on the background paper and I added more glitter to the pink stitched frame as well. I colored the owls with Copic markers. Inside the sentiment was “Happy Mother’s Day. You’re a Hoot!” Thanks for visiting.

I enjoyed using my Zig Clean Color markers and waterbrush to watercolor this fuschia image. I popped up the die cut fuchsia on layers of cardstock, adding a few sequins around the flowers. I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #235 as inspiration for this card. Thanks for stopping by.

- Stamp – Technique Tuesday – Greenhouse Society Series: Columbine
- Dies – Spellbinders Nestabilities – Labels Twenty
- Border Punch – EK Success – Swiss Cheese
- Cardstock – BoBunny Double Dot – Paprika and Orange Citrus
I colored this image with Sakura Glaze pens and added accent dots with a white gel pen. I created this card for a polka dot challenge, so I went a little crazy with the dotted cardstock and the border punch with lots of dots. We have columbines blooming around here in the summer, so I really like this image. Thanks for visiting.

- Sequins – Simon Says Stamp – Assorted Moonshine
- Inks Sprays – Dylusions White Linen, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist assorted colors
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This was such a fun project! I made it over a period of time, since I created the background while playing with patterned papers, texture paste and stencils, and ink sprays with some friends. I made a lot of different backgrounds with many layers of ink and texture. Then I got my hands on the Distress Crayons and butterfly dies and put together some different butterflies to use on something someday, coloring the butterfly base with the crayons and cutting the details from a contrasting cardstock. I stared at my backgrounds and the butterflies and finally put the pieces together in this birthday card! The final card fits perfectly for the current challenge at Simon Says Stamp for the Monday Challenge Blog Butterfly Beauty Challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

I created this clean and simple card featuring the cute fox die cut from Spellbinders. I used the sketch: Freshly Made Sketches #232, with a couple of strips of Washi tape. I attached the black die-cut sentiment so that it connected to the black mat to tie the design together. Thanks for visiting.

Bunny? I think so! I just couldn’t resist pulling this one out! I colored the stamped image with Copic markers. I layered the image on top of the lacy flower die-cut. The Cat’s Pajamas Tuesday Challenge #310 – Bunnies challenge is nearly complete, but here is an honorary bunny! Enjoy your day.

- Hero Arts – DC150 – “Happy Stamp & Cut”
- Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Twenty”
- Sakura Glaze Pens
- Cardstock – BoBunny
I created this card in response to a challenge on the Hero Arts Flickr site. We had 90 minutes to create a card with some part of the inside showing from the outside–even when the card is closed. I decided to die cut a “window” on the outside looking into where I stamped the owl. I colored the owl with gel pens, used a die for the happy part of the sentiment and used half of one of the clear stamps in the “Messages with Flourish” set for birthday. This was a fun challenge so that I would pay more attention to the inside of my card! I pieced the patterned cardstock for a little variation. Thanks for visiting today.

- My Mind’s Eye – “Remarkable” 6 X 6″ paper pad
- Echo Park – “A Perfect Summer – Chevron Lines”
- Epoxy dots – Doodlebug Designs – “Sprinkles Spring Assortment”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This card features a stamp I’ve had for quite a while. The wood-mount stamp is dated 2006. My how that 10 years flew by! I layered some patterned papers to give the kitty a festive environment, and even used a tiny bit to paper piece the umbrella Miss Kitty is holding. There are some Spring heart showers descending from the cloud, appropriate for the TCP Tuesday Challenge #309: Spring. I stamped the cloud with my sentiment (also from TCP) and adhered it with some dimensional adhesive. As a finishing touch, I added the die-cut bow which turns out so great when you fold it! It also repeats the stitching seen on the cloud to help tie the elements together. Finally, I popped on three little epoxy dots and it was done. Thanks for stopping by.

- Die – Technique Tuesday “Crocus”
- Ranger – Dina Wakley Media Clear Gesso
- Ranger – Texture Paste – Transparent Matte
- Patterned paper – 7 Gypsies
- Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists
- Ranger Dylusions Ink Spray – White Linen
- Tim Holtz Stencil – Dot Fade
- Zig Clean Color markers
- Cardstock – Bazzill and Paper Accents
- Ribbon – Michael’s
I created the background for this card when I made a number of them a couple of weeks ago. There are layers of gesso, texture paste, and inks on patterned paper. To see details, check out my previous post.
I stamped this pretty crocus and then watercolored it with Zig Clean Color markers and a water brush. I then cut it out using the matching die and completed watercoloring the edges of the image before popping it up on the background. This qualified me for the Shopping our Stash Challenge #241 – White Out (No white paper showing)! It also fits the bill for the Mixed Media Mojo March 2016 Challenge: Springtime and Watercolor. Since we have crocus flowers popping up right now, this seemed appropriate for this time of year: almost Spring! Thanks for visiting.
