Fly softly

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas – Feelin’ Cupidy
  • Patterned paper – BoBunny
  • Dies –
    • Wplus9 – Stackers – Hearts
    • Lawn Fawn – Scalloped Square Stackables
  • Sequins – Doodlebug Designs
  • Cardstock – Paper Accents

One of my favorite recurring characters in the stamp world for me is this bunny! I colored Bun-Bun with Copic markers before fussy-cutting him out and then mounted him on the heart die-cut with dimensional adhesive. The black and white checked paper was cute with a scalloped die and layered onto a piece of white cardstock, adhering it to the pink card base. I doodled a border around the background on the pink card base and then adhered the sentiment which is backed with red mirror cardstock. To finish the card off, I popped up Bun-Bun and adhered some sequins around him for a little pizzazz. Thanks for stopping by!

Shoot for the Moon

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas – Constellation Prize
  • Dies – Spellbinders – Curvy Labels
  • Patterned papers – Echo Park – Fine and Dandy
  • Copic markers
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

Happy New Year! I created this card for a challenge I was hosting today for an online cardmaking group. It was my first card of 2019. It had been a while since I created a card using patterned papers, especially one that wasn’t for the holidays! So it was fun to put this together. I colored the cute penguin image with Copic markers and layered the patterned papers. Very simple, but bright and cheery! Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful 2019.

Go forth and eat cake!

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas – Forget About the Cake
  • Patterned paper – Prima Marketing – Julie Nutting – Blush
  • Twine – Doodlebug Designs
  • Felt button – Hero Arts Fancy Felt flower
  • Cardstock – Paper Arts and Bazzill
  • Rhinestones – Mark Richards Ltd. – 3mm pink
  • Copic markers

I created this card for a friend. I love the sentiment–eating cake is important on one’s birthday! I colored the stamped image with Copic markers and layered it up using the sketch listed below as a reference. I was really pleased with the way it turned out and that I was able to use everything from my stash. I’ve had most of the supplies for years! That makes a card even better! Thanks for visiting.

Better When You’re Laughing

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “Friendship”
  • Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Fifteen”
  • Patterned paper – BoBunny “Black Tie Affair Diamonds”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • American Crafts Glitter Buttons
  • Twine – Doodlebug

I created this card for an exchange called “All About Me,” for which we all made a card that reflected us in some way. So I figured I had to have a penguin or two, and when I saw this sentiment I knew it was appropriate. Laughing is a good way to pass the time! Once I stamped the penguins, I colored the beaks, feet and phone with Sakura sparkle gel pens. I put together the elements a little off-kilter, which also seemed to kind of represent me! Thanks for visiting.

It is hard not to like this cat–especially as it ties into the chocolates. I colored the kitty with Copic markers and layered it up with some dies. I added some happy patterned paper on the card base for added cheer. Happy Valentine’s Day! Thanks for visiting today.

I colored the image with Copics and layered it with some patterned papers I also pulled out. I heat-embossed the sentiment in white on black cardstock and layered it all up. Thanks for visiting today.

Missing You from the Tent

  • Stamps –
    • The Cat’s Pajamas “Under the Stars,” “Hare Today,” and “Happy Camper”
  • Copic markers
  • Cardstock – Bazzill and Paper Accents

I made a scene using stamps from several different sets from The Cat’s Pajamas, in response to their latest challenge to create a scene. I made a single layer card and colored the entire thing with Copic markers. Obviously, that’s a challenge for me! I enjoy combining stamps from a variety of sets–that makes it lots of fun. You can tell I live in Oregon. It looks like they are staying inside the tent because there is a rainstorm! Thanks for stopping by.

Fly Softly

Supplies:

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “Feelin’ Cupidy”
  • Dies –
    • Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts “Outside in Stitched Scalloped Square Stackables”
    • WPlus9 “Stackers Hearts”
  • Copic markers
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Red Mirror cardstock – Paper Accents

The Valentine season is approaching and who better to provide helpful advice, but the TCP bunny! I colored him with Copics, fussy cut him, then placed him on the die-cut layers with dimensional adhesive. I drew a dash-dot-dash line around the square layers and popped the sentiment on top. Thanks for stopping by.

Have a Cool Yule!

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “Penguin Christmas” and “Polar Holiday” (sentiment)
  • Dies – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Fifteen”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Jovial” collection and American Crafts “North Pole” collection
  • Embossing Powder – Ranger Ink Wendy Vecchi “Red Geranium”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Copic markers
  • Sakura Glaze pens

Some of my cardmaking friends alerted me to a request that had been made by a 9-year old boy from Maine with cancer who wants to celebrate Christmas early this year. What he really wants are Christmas cards from all over the United States. The detail that really caught my attention is that he loves penguins! I was anxious to grant him his wish and mail him a handmade card from the other side of the country. Hopefully all of the holiday mail he is receiving is bringing him many smiles.

I went back into my stash to create this card! I’ve had these stamp sets for years! The patterned papers are not new either. I stamped the penguins and colored the image with Copic markers. I added some sparkle and shine with a couple different Glaze pens, but that effect is hard to detect in my photo unfortunately. The sentiment is heat-embossed with the bright red powder and adds some more shine.

Thanks for stopping by.

Kitty, are you in there?

  • Stamps –
    • Penny Black “Dressed to Scare”
    • The Cat’s Pajamas “Hey Pumpkin”
  • Dies – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Standard Circles Large”
  • Patterned paper – unknown
  • Glitter cardstock – Paper Accents
  • Stickers – Rain Dots  Bats
  • Ribbon
  • Copic markers

I made this card for World Card Making Day when a friend challenged us to make an “Oldie Moldie” card, which is a term she has coined that means you need to use supplies you’ve had for a long time. The outcome would be, if you made these cards often, you would have fewer old craft supplies! I’ve had the cat stamp, die, patterned papers and bat stickers for probably more than a decade! It is pretty fun to use “old friends” I’ve had in my Halloween stash for years. I need to make more! Thanks for visiting.
