- Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “Candyland Christmas”
- Dies – The Cat’s Pajamas CutUps “Holiday Toppers”, Memory Box “New Castle Snowflake” and Spellbinders Nestabilities “Standard Circles Large”
- Paper – Reminisce “Enchanted”
- Kraft paper card base
- Sakura Metallic Gelly Roll pens
It has been a really long time since I’ve posted a card! Whew! So here is a penguin card to make things right! This is a Cat’s Pajamas set I’ve had for a long time, but the snowflake topper is brand new, at least to me! The TCP Tuesday Challenge #280 is to use a color palette of red, black and Kraft. I embossed the penguin stamp and then colored the image with Sakura Metallic Gelly Roll pens. I popped up the sentiment, repeating the circle and the snowflake motifs.
Just for fun, this is also a stop on the Cat’s Pajamas’ Winter Blog Hop. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll try not to take so long for my next post!

- Stamp – The Cat’s Pajamas from the “Polar Holiday” set
- Tag – Die cut from Simon Says Stamp die “Medium Tags”
- Snowflake – Impression Obsession “Snowflakes” die
- Patterned papers – GCD Studios “Joyful Peace Collection: Candy Lane, Yorkshire Pudding and The Holly and the Ivy”
- Twine – The Cat’s Pajamas “Divine Twine: Peppermint”
- Wink of Stella Brush
- Ranger Distress Ink – Walnut Stain
For this card, I used the sketch at The Cat’s Pajamas TCP Tuesday #278 Challenge. This cute little dapper penguin is from The Cat’s Pajamas. I applied Distress Ink to the edges of the tag to match it to the patterned papers. I painted the snowflake behind the tag with the Wink of Stella brush pen for some nice shimmer. This also fits the bill for the current challenge at Addicted to CAS Challenge #51 – Code Word: Tag. Thanks for visiting.

- Die cuts made from:
- Impression Obsession “Snowflakes”
- Spellbinders Nestabilities “Romantic Rectangles”
- Stamp – Inkadinkado “Happy Birthday” (98164-MM)
- Embossing folder – Cuttlebug “Snow Dots”
- Patterned cardstock – BoBunny
- Cardstock – Paper Accents
I created this card with the Operation Write Home Mid-month Throwdown in mind. The challenge is to make a Winter birthday card and I immediately thought snowflakes. I used an embossed background featuring snowflakes and added a couple of die cut snowflakes as well. Even the edge of the sentiment die cut fits in with the lacey snowflake look. Thanks for stopping by today.

- Stamp – from The Cat’s Pajamas “Hello Pumpkin” set
- Die cut from Spellbinders Nestabilities “Curved Rectangles” die
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
- Paper Distresser tool – Tim Holtz / Tonic Studios
- Enamel dots – Teresa Collins Signature Essentials – purple
- Ric-Rac, button and fiber from stash
- Copic markers
This main image a favorite from The Cat’s Pajamas since it features penguins and Halloween in the same stamp! Perfect for the TCP Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #277 with all of the Halloween-y colors. I colored the stamped image with Copic markers, cut it out and popped it up with dimensional adhesive. I added some spooky fiber to the button that I’ve had for years. Actually, I’ve had everything I used for this card for years! I guess that’s why it is so appropriate that Shopping Our Stash Challenge # 174 is Halloween. I used the sketch at The Paper Players for inspiration, Paper Players Challenge #219. I don’t think I’ve ever made one card that fit three challenges before! Finally, I distressed the edges of the cardstock. Thanks for visiting today.

- Die – Simon Says Stamp (Stamptember) “Thanks”
- Washi tape – Queen & Co. Trendy Tape
- Cardstock – Neenah & Paper Accents
I really enjoyed making this card, partially because of the sheer simplicity of it and also its clean design and color scheme. I used the current sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping (FTL 311). I’ve been hoarding a few rolls of washi tape for a couple of years, so I thought this might be a good time to pull it out. And based on my available stash, the black, white and red color scheme was a no brainer–plus I always like to add grey with those colors, so I mounted my base onto a grey card with dimensional adhesive. The die cut was made with a great new die from Simon Says Stamp. This will be a perfect Operation Write Home card. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – from The Cat’s Pajamas “Happy Camper” set
- Patterned paper – Doodlebug Designs “Haunted Manor”
- Dies – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels One” and “Standard Circles Large”
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
The latest challenge at The Cat’s Pajamas (TCP 276) is to create a card using Light Grey, Rust and Dark Blue. For whatever reason, this card too me forever to complete! I cut different shapes, pushed them around and stared at them. This is how it ended up, for better or for worse! I colored the squirrel and acorns with Copic markers and cut them out. I’m thinking that the squirrel is juggling the acorns, by the way. Enjoy and thanks for visiting.

Today I present you with a spooky Halloween cat with some sparkles for good measure. I created this for the challenge at Friday Mashup (Friday Mashup 181) which was to create a card with a tag, or one with bling, or one that featured both. Well, this fit the requirements for both. The patterned paper had lots of sparkle (not sure how clear that is to see in the photo) and I created a cat tag, distressing the background with Ranger Distress Inks. I also spritzed the whole card with Perfect Pearls Mist for some additional bling. The whole card is quite spooky in my opinion!
Here’s a closer look:

I love this sketch from Retro Sketches (#13). This week’s Retro Sketches Challenge is a Wild Card, which means I can use any sketch from Retro Sketches for my card. I decided to try my hand at inlaid die cuts for this tag card. I cut the snowflakes from white cardstock and then inlaid them into die cuts in the tag so that the whole thing is flush. I did not do any stamping on this card–wow! That is pretty unusual, but die cuts were the stars for this one. It was also fun to use all of these different companies’ products combined into one card. Love to do that! Thanks for stopping by.

- Patterned papers –
- Graphic 45 “An Eerie Tale” 8 X 8″ pad
- My Mind’s Eye “Collectable: Beautiful”
- Stamp – from Hero Arts “Messages with Flourish” set
- Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Twenty”
- Stickers – Hot Off The Press Dazzles “Autum Splendor”
- Pearls and Gems – Hero Arts “Earth Mixed Accents”
- Cardstock – Bazzill and Paper Accents
I’ve got Jack and the Beanstalk featured for this card. This Graphic 45 paper collection is so pretty and it includes a number of Eerie Tales with sort of a Halloween theme. The copper colored stickers work nicely with the oranges in the papers. I’ve had those stickers in my stash for quite some time as well as the little blingy bits! I think this fits the “It’s the Most Colorful Time of the Year” challenge at Shopping Our Stash, since I used a number of Fall colors, plus green. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamp – Inkadinkado
- Fabric scraps from my stash of fat quarters
- Claudine Hellmuth (Ranger) Studio Matte Multi-Medium
- Ribbon – Michael’s
- Molotow One4All Acrylic premium paint pen – Metallic Gold
- Cardstock – Bazzill
In honor of World Card Making Day, Mixed Media Mojo has a card making challenge to make a card with a Fall/Halloween theme using some fabric. I made a pretty funky card, but it was fun to do and stretched me to use some fabric. I covered some cardstock with orange batik fabric and then covered it with gel medium–that way when I stamped the Halloween sentiment on it, the ink wouldn’t bleed into the fabric. I also like the texture it gave the fabric. I then attached the pumpkin fabric to heavy black cardstock and covered the outside edges with some ribbon. Before I attached the sentiment panel, I drew some lines and dots with my trusty Molotow metallic gold acrylic paint pen. I drew along the top and bottom of the pumpkin fabric as well and then outlined it with a Micron pen. These Molotow pens really apply the paint in a steady stream–I love the white one as well. I popped up the sentiment panel with dimensional adhesive to finish the card. Thanks for visiting.
