- Dies – My Favorite Things Die-namics “Four Corners” and Spellbinders Nestabilities “Resplendent Rectangles”
- Stamp – My Favorite Things “Pretty Poppies” set
- Embossing powder – Stampendous – Lapis Pearl
- Pearls – KaiserCraft – Denim
- Cardstock – Bazzill and BoBunny
I created this card as part of My Favorite Things Summer School Lesson 11: Repetition. I used dies for the motif I repeated and heat embossed the sentiment with a pearly blue to pick up on the colors used for the dies and background. The dies create a nice rhythm down the card, drawing your eye to the sentiment. I decided to use complementary colors to make the elements pop. Thanks for stopping by.

I created this card for the TCP Tuesday challenge #292, which is a color challenge to use the colors green, blue and yellow. Unfortunately when I went to post it on their site, my Internet access blipped and my post was one minute too late for the deadline! Ugh. At any rate, This card was a simple one, using Copics to color the image. This card is going into my Operation Write Home box. It also fulfills the Our Daily Bread monthly Challenge at OWH, since this month’s theme is “missing you.”
Thanks for visiting.

- Dies – Lawn Fawn “Snow Day” and Simon Says Stamp “Tri Square”
- Patterned papers – My Mind’s Eye “Chalk Studio” 6 X 6″ pad
- Sequins – Doodlebug Designs
- Border punch – Martha Stewart “Embossed Zig Zag Edger”
- Embossing powder – White and Clear
- Kraft cardstock
- Prismacolors
I colored two little Lawn Fawn bunnies from a favorite stamp set with colored pencil for this card. I am participating in The Daily Marker’s 30-Day Coloring Challenge, during which we are to spend at least 10 minutes a day coloring for fun and relaxation. Today is the first day of Kathy’s challenge and I colored these little love bunnies during my lunch hour! I heat embossed them last night to make short works of it. Then I put down some base color and colored over the base with white colored pencil. It is a nice effect on the Kraft cardstock. I decided to use Kraft cardstock because it was part of the Simon Says Stamp/Lawn Fawn Flickr Card Challenge going on right now. We are to use Kraft, Lawn Fawn products or Simon Says Stamp products. So everything tied together nicely for this card. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – Simon Says Stamp “Sending Happy Thoughts” set
- Stencil – Tim Holtz “Hearts”
- Embossing paste – Viva Facetten-Lack crackle paste
- Bling – Mark Richards 3mm Rouge crystal stickers
- Cardstock – Bazzill
Instead of Black Friday, Operation Write Home decided to recognize the same day by hosting a Red Friday Bloghop featuring Love cards. I chose to create a card that could be used any time of year, not just on Valentine’s Day. I was inspired to use lots of hearts after visiting the bloggers and thought repeating the hearts by using the Tim Holtz stencil would be a fun way to go. The current Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #7 is to use stencils as well, so I had fun with my crackle paste and used the Simon stamp set that is perfect for OWH cards! I popped up the little envelope for a little dimension above the heart background. Thanks for visiting.

- Die cuts made from:
- Impression Obsession “Snowflakes”
- Spellbinders Nestabilities “Romantic Rectangles”
- Stamp – Inkadinkado “Happy Birthday” (98164-MM)
- Embossing folder – Cuttlebug “Snow Dots”
- Patterned cardstock – BoBunny
- Cardstock – Paper Accents
I created this card with the Operation Write Home Mid-month Throwdown in mind. The challenge is to make a Winter birthday card and I immediately thought snowflakes. I used an embossed background featuring snowflakes and added a couple of die cut snowflakes as well. Even the edge of the sentiment die cut fits in with the lacey snowflake look. Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy World Cardmaking Day! We are having an Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Blog Hop in honor of this day. Lots of cardmakers are participating, so make sure you check out all of the talent. If you’d like to know more about the current needs of OWH, check out Operation Tape Gun.
Welcome to my stop. My card is very simple and features a little bit of dimension and some texture. The stamp came as a bonus on the cover of Craft Stamper magazine! Each issue comes with an acrylic stamp. I colored the “Rose Square” stamped image with Copic markers. The small purple piece is popped up with dimensional adhesive and the sentiment die cut floats above the background. I am helping others make this same card at Runaway Art and Craft Studio this weekend during a Make & Take on Saturday.
To return to the Hop, go to the top of Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps home page and you’ll find it at the top of the page through this weekend.
Thanks for visiting!

- Dies – Memory Box “Perched Reed Bird” and “Woodland Branch”
- Stamp – Avery Elle “Oh Happy Day”
- Patterned paper – Crate Paper “The Pier: Surf Shop” (both sides)
- Brads – Creative Impressions
- Embossing Powder – Stampendous – Aqua
- Faber Castell Gelatos
- Cardstock – Bazzill
For this clean and simple card, I used the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches (#153). I die cut the bird from cardstock on which I’d blended several colors of Gelatos with a baby wipe. After it was cut, I added a little more color with Gelatos and blended the colors together until I was happy with the look. I was able to match the color of the bird with my embossing powder, which I was pretty pleased about! I picked up the green in the bird and the patterned paper with the brads.
On another note, as far as I know, I don’t have a chicken stamp! The Shopping Our Stash challenge for this week is to create a card with a chicken image (because it is Chicken Month), or to use another type of bird image. So I opted for this little bird. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – Penny Black “Flower Festival” and “Sweet Wishes” and Printworks “Thank You”
- Dies – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Twenty”
- Stampendous white and iridescent Embossing Powders
- Watercolors – Twinkling H2Os
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Bling – Mark Richards Ltd.
This card started out with the image stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I then colored the hydrangea with Twinkling H2Os. The embossing powder provided a strong outline and acted as a resist for the watercolor. The outline on the sentiment flag is another Penny black stamp that I heat embossed with some iridescent embossing powder.
I was inspired by Debby Hughes, who is the muse for CASE Study #207 at the CASE Study Blog. I have taken a number of Online Card Classes during which Debby was a guest designer and I’m familiar with her style. Here is a closer look at some detail on my card. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamp – Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous “Reverse Damask”
- Dies – Memory Box “Swirl Butterfly”, Elizabeth Craft Designs “Best Wishes” and Spellbinders Nestabilities “Standard Circles Large”
- Ranger Perfect Pearls – Plum, Perfect Gold, Kiwi, and Rust
- Embossing Powder – Stampendous – Opaque Gold
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Ranger Glossy Accents
I was inspired by a lesson in the Online Card Classes Stretch Your Stamps 2 class to play with a background stamp and Perfect Pearls. I stamped the lovely background image with Perfect Medium and then applied Perfect Pearls to make an elegant sheen on the dark brown cardstock. I covered the die cut butterfly with gold embossing powder and heat set it. I wanted to repeat a little of the gold used in the background to tie the butterfly focal point to the background. For the sentiment, I used the die cut words, adhered them to a fishtail-cut flag, and covered it all with Glossy Accents to bring on a little more shine. Thanks for visiting.
