- Patterned paper – KaiserCraft “Mister Fox Collection”
- Watercolor paper – Strathmore cold press
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Ink pads – Versafine “Onyx Black” and “Satin Red”
- Zig Clean Color markers
I stamped the bear and his accessories in Versafine ink. He’s quite dapper! I always like dressing up cute animals! That’s why it so appropriately fits the bill for Week 253 Challenge at Casology: Clothes. I added color to the bear and the stamped sentiment with Zig Clean Color markers and added water with a waterbrush to blend and soften the colors. I fussy-cut the bear (I have the dies, but wanted to layer the accessories directly to the same layer). I adhered it to the patterned circle die-cut, layered with the Beaded Circle Frame die-cut, with some dimensional adhesive. I trimmed the sentiment into a flag and layered on black cardstock strip. I placed all elements onto the card base to complete the card. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps – Lawn Fawn – “Wild for You”
- Dies –
- Lawn Fawn – “Wild for You,” “Grassy Hillside Borders,” “Simple Gift Card Slots,” and “Lift the Flap”
- Sizzix – Tim Holtz Alterations “Celebrate” (inside “Happy Birthday” sentiment)
- Little B – “Rectangle”
- Copic markers
- Patterned paper – BoBunny – “Serendipity”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
If I’m going to play with cuteness, the Lawn Fawn animals are always at the top of my list! This new “Wild for You” set is no exception. I colored the stamped images with Copics and cut them out with the matching dies. I made sure they donned some party hats and crowns.
I cut the rectangle and then used the “Lift the Flap” die to hold the gift card that were placed in slots created by the slots die (inside shown in photo above). These dies worked as slick as a whistle. I used a portion of grass cut with the grass border die to ground the animals and adhered all of them to the card front. A great little package. Inside the card is the birthday greeting.
I’m posting this card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Furry Friends and to the Mod Squad Birthday Bash Challenge.
Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps – Stampendous- Laurel Burch “Indigo Cats”
- Dies – Stampendous- Laurel Burch “Indigo Cats”
- Copic markers
- Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magicals – Golden Sleigh Bells, Tibetan Poppy Teal, and Witch’s Potion Purple
- Art Basics Light Texture Paste
- Stencil – Stampendous – included in Laurel Burch “Indigo Cats” stamp set
- Ranger – Dina Wakley Media Mica Spray – Lapis
- Cardstock – Paper Accents
I began this card by coloring the stamped cat and butterflies with Copic markers and then die cut the images. I created the background by starting with clear gesso, and then applying the texture paste through the matching stencil.
I liked the idea of repeating the triangles in the background that are featured on the cat. I then sprinkled Magicals and sprayed with water and mica spray, spattering more Magicals to create the effect I was aiming for.
I
continued to play, moving the color around, but finally left it alone and let it dry! I adhered the images and layered it onto matching cardstock.
I am posting this card to Craft Stamper Magazine’s May Anything Goes Stamping Challenge. Happy Little Stampers May Mixed Media Challenge is “Splats,” so I think this works! I’m also linking back to My Colorful Scoop’s Color May Inspiration Challenge. And one more time, Mom, Happy Birthday! Thanks for stopping by.
Above is a detail showing some of the texture and colors.

I’ve been meaning to make an otter card with this set for a while now. I brought it with us to the coast–how appropriate–and finally got it colored and put together! I colored the otter with Zig watercolor markers and the ribbon on the present with a metallic marker. It was fun to layer the different papers using the varying sizes of die-cut circles–almost like paper piecing. Thanks for stopping by today.

I created this card for my son to give his good friend who was just diagnosed with Leukemia. They’ve been friends since kindergarten–and now they are high school seniors. I colored the critters with Copics and then fussy cut them. I didn’t want any white around the edges that the dies would leave (and I don’t have dies for all of the creatures anyway!). I edged all of the critters and leaves with black. I arranged the animals and added some sequins to jazz things up a bit. I stamped the sentiment on the woodgrain tape and cut a “tail” for a flag.

- Stamp – Penny Black “Freshly Cut”
- Kraft paper card
- Prismacolor colored pencils
- Memories pigment ink pad “Unicorn”
I couldn’t wait to color this image! I felt that the image should be the focal point, so a clean and simple card is really appropriate. I couldn’t decide which media to try first and I stamped it out two different ways (the other is embossed onto watercolor paper, so a watercolor version will be coming!). I like the effect when coloring with pencil on a Kraft paper card, so that was the route I took here. I stamped with white ink and then colored with a simple pallette. The Penny Black and More Challenge is Anything Goes with a Stamp and the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this month is a One Layer Card, so this seemed to fit the bill. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – My Favorite Things “Penguins in Paradise” set
- Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Twenty Eight”
- Patterned papers – SEI “Bright Blossom” collection
- Cardstock – Paper Accents
- Copic markers
I colored this cool penguin with Copic markers and cut out the image with the Spellbinders die. I edged the image and the sentiment with a Copic marker matching the flower in the penguin’s drink. The patterned paper picks up the tropical, celebratory mood that the penguin is in. He has the right idea and is ready to kick off Summer this week. Thanks for visiting today!

- Stamps – My Favorite Things “Witch Way is the Candy” clear stamp set
- Embossing folder – Sizzix Texture Fades – Tim Holtz “Cobwebs”
- Copic markers
- Wink of Stella
- Cardstock – Bazzill and BoBunny
I really enjoyed coloring these stamped images! The little animals are so cute. I colored each with Copic markers and cut them out by hand. I popped up the frog with some foam adhesive and made a little spring out of paper so the bat would pop out and wiggle a bit. The background is black cardstock embossed with the Cobwebs Texture Fades by Sizzix. I was so pleased to be able to borrow the embossing folder from a friend while I was putting this card together! I then colored the web with my Wink of Stella pen for some sparkle (you know, the way a web would sparkle in the sun). For a closer look, some of the details are shown below.
I am entering this into the Friday Mashup Challenge this week for its Halloween theme. I’ve also been coloring along this month with Kathy’s coloring challenge at The Daily Marker: 30 Day Coloring Challenge. We try to color at least 10 minutes a day! Thanks for visiting today.

- Lawn Fawn “Scripty Thanks”
- JustRite/Spellbinders “Vintage Labels Two”
- Pengs –
- Akashiya Sai Watercolor Brush Pens
- Black Sharpie
- Copic Multi-liner
- Baker’s twine – Doodlebug Designs
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I have been inspired over the past few days by Kathy Racoosen of The Daily Marker fame. She is currently hosting a “Pop-up challenge” to create with lines in your coloring projects, which is lots of fun. The first piece I’ve actually finished in card form is here. I drew lines with a Sharpie and a thinner Copic Multi-liner. I then added color to the random shapes I created with watercolor markers and blended those areas with a water brush. I then die cut the design and added the die-cut sentiment (actually two for a drop shadow effect). I created more lines with the baker’s twine on a piece of cardstock, and mounted the colored design on top with dimensional adhesive which grounded the image. I worked on this over several days, so I was pretty happy just to finish it! Thanks for visiting today.
