I made this card based on a lesson from the Online Card Classes Stenciled class. I tried my hand at using molding paste with a stencil. My variation was to mist the cardstock with ink sprays prior to adding the molding paste and it actually incorporated some of the color into the stenciled image. Kind of a happy accident! I’ve included a close-up here to try to show it in a little more detail.
My color scheme reflects the colors of the Seattle Seahawks, who will soon be playing in the Super Bowl. The Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps CardBowl is this weekend, and one of the challenges is to use something that reflects one of the teams playing in your card design. Living in the northwest, it seemed only appropriate to select the Seattle team, so I picked the team colors! Thanks for stopping by today.

Yes, another penguin card! I have just a few penguin stamps in my collection! I am taking Operation Penguin just a bit further than Sandy probably would like! But who doesn’t like a good penguin in their life? This is another from The Cat’s Pajamas. I colored the stamped image with Copic Markers and layered it up. I wanted to use this striped paper with all of the bright colors to bring out some of the colors in the image. We were challenged to make a card with stripes in the current Our Daily Bread Challenge for January at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps. Thanks for stopping by.

I used Freshly Made Sketches #118 for this card. It is another penguin card for Operation Penguin at Operation Write Home. I have a lot of penguin stamps, as you may have guessed, so I am taking advantage of this event to use some of my penguins for the greater good! I colored this little guy with Copics and fussy cut him and popped him up. Enjoy! And thanks for visiting.

Here is a new card using the current sketch at Unscripted Sketches #237. I stamped the top three squares with matching ink. The three matching polka-dot squares look like shadows in my interpretation. I popped up the sentiment square with dimensional adhesive just for a little more emphasis. I created this cheery card with Sketch #205 at Operation Write Home (OWH) Stars & Stamps. This would be a nice card for a child to receive from a hero, with the cute animal and bright colors! I’ve been slow about posting my Christmas cards this week; I’m trying to finish them up. This card has a vintage look to it and I was inspired by a sketch at 365 Cards for Day 342. I really like the detail in the holly leaves on the May Arts trim–it adds a different texture to the card. I just cut some holly from a tree in the yard today, so I must be in a holly mood!
