My son graduated from high school this year, so I found myself making a number of graduation cards for him and his friends. One of the symbols from their school was the rose, so I was pleased to pull out the rose embossing folder to incorporate into the design. I also had the penguin graduate stamp set already. I colored the penguins and their accessories with Copics and played around with placement of the papers to make these two cards. I used touches of the school colors, blue and red, in the layers. I stamped the bear and his accessories in Versafine ink. He’s quite dapper! I always like dressing up cute animals! That’s why it so appropriately fits the bill for Week 253 Challenge at Casology: Clothes. I added color to the bear and the stamped sentiment with Zig Clean Color markers and added water with a waterbrush to blend and soften the colors. I fussy-cut the bear (I have the dies, but wanted to layer the accessories directly to the same layer). I adhered it to the patterned circle die-cut, layered with the Beaded Circle Frame die-cut, with some dimensional adhesive. I trimmed the sentiment into a flag and layered on black cardstock strip. I placed all elements onto the card base to complete the card. Thanks for visiting.

If I’m going to play with cuteness, the Lawn Fawn animals are always at the top of my list! This new “Wild for You” set is no exception. I colored the stamped images with Copics and cut them out with the matching dies. I made sure they donned some party hats and crowns.
I cut the rectangle and then used the “Lift the Flap” die to hold the gift card that were placed in slots created by the slots die (inside shown in photo above). These dies worked as slick as a whistle. I used a portion of grass cut with the grass border die to ground the animals and adhered all of them to the card front. A great little package. Inside the card is the birthday greeting.

I began this card by coloring the stamped cat and butterflies with Copic markers and then die cut the images. I created the background by starting with clear gesso, and then applying the texture paste through the matching stencil.
I liked the idea of repeating the triangles in the background that are featured on the cat. I then sprinkled Magicals and sprayed with water and mica spray, spattering more Magicals to create the effect I was aiming for.
I 
continued to play, moving the color around, but finally left it alone and let it dry! I adhered the images and layered it onto matching cardstock.

I created this brightly colored, mixed media card by brushing on acrylic paints in the background, and accenting the stamped image with Scribble Sticks. I stamped the quote on Dina’s Media Tape, which is sort of like homemade Washi tape (I scribbled on it also). I added a thin strip of patterned Washi tape I had in my stash as well. I’m continuing to play around with Distress Oxide ink backgrounds. I applied the colors listed above to a craft sheet and spritzed with water, layering them and drying between applications. This is becoming a favorite background technique, but I can’t have just one favorite! I could create nothing but backgrounds and be perfectly happy!
I colored the beaver and flower bouquet with Copics and popped them up with dimensional adhesive. This is a nice little surprise with a couple of goodies in my son’s suitcase as he heads out on a fun trip tomorrow. Enjoy your day!

I colored this nice bunny image with Copic markers in bright colors. I layered the patterned papers onto a square card base and placed the sentiment at an angle. That accentuates the whimsical sentiment that I’ve had in my stash for years! I repeated the springy look by adding some flower brads to the edges, and yes I’ve had those from the days when we put brads on every card or paper project! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Easter!

This is a very simple card with a beachy theme. I started with a watercolor background, which is sort of the star of the card, made with Ranger Distress Oxide inks and water. I stamped the shells and sentiment over the background in black Archival ink.

The background for this card was made with Distress Oxide inks applied through a stencil with a sponge applicator. I spritzed the stenciled image with water. I distressed the stamped sentiment with ink as well.
