halloweenmouseforswap

  • Stamps – Penny Black “Halloween Critters”
  • Patterned Paper – MME “Happy Haunting”
  • Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Fleur de Lis Rectangles”
  • Ribbon – Michaels
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

I made this Halloween card for a swap with an online card group I belong to. I colored the image with Copics and cut it out, placing it on top of the same image that was stamped on the pale blue cardstock. I added a layer of Glossy Accents to the yellow moon for some shine. A pretty simple card with a cute little mouse. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Stamps and Dies – Lawn Fawn “Jump for Joy” sets
  • Embossing powder – Stampendous “Lettuce”
  • Sequins – 28 Lilac Lane “Neutrals”
  • Cardstock – Paper Accents
  • Copic markers

I couldn’t resist these creatures playing in the Fall leaves! I stamped and die-cut the various elements to create a clean and simple birthday card for my son. The images are colored with Copic markers. I’m thinking this card is perfect for the Paper Players Challenge #313 “Taste of Fall.” Thanks for stopping by.

  • Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Twenty Eight”
  • Patterned papers – SEI “Bright Blossom” collection
  • Cardstock – Paper Accents
  • Copic markers

I colored this cool penguin with Copic markers and cut out the image with the Spellbinders die. I edged the image and the sentiment with a Copic marker matching the flower in the penguin’s drink. The patterned paper picks up the tropical, celebratory mood that the penguin is in. He has the right idea and is ready to kick off Summer this week. Thanks for visiting today!

Look, Mom! Raccoons for your birthday!

raccoons-front raccoons-inside

  • Stamps – Art Impressions Any Cake and Kodomo Happy Birthday
  • Dies – Art Impressions Window Die
  • Patterned paper – Echo Park Scoot: Little Helicopters
  • Cardstock – Bazzill Bling Crystal Blue and Simon Says Stamp Fog

I must say before I go into any explanation of this card–this card required me to think much too hard! There was a front and back to the raccoons and window, things needed to line up, etc. The design on the card front fits The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #296. The overall card is 4-3/4″ square. I colored the raccoons with Copic markers and cut them out. I die cut the windows, added the raccoons and layered the patterned paper and cardstock so that everything lined up and then stamped the sentiments. I made this card for my mom’s 86th birthday. She has a raccoon (sometimes more) who comes visit her sometimes, so when I saw this stamp, I knew I needed to use it for her birthday card! Happy Birthday, Mom! Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Mother’s Day–You’re a Hoot!

mothersday-owls

  • Stamps – Lawn Fawn “Mom + Me”
  • Dies – Lawn Fawn “Mom + Me” and “Stitched Circle Frames”
  • Patterned paper – DCWV – “Nana’s Nursery Baby Boy” paper pad
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Glitter – Martha Stewart – “Snow”
  • Copic markers
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink “Walnut Stain” (ink pad and marker)

I created this card for my Mom on Mother’s Day. I framed the image with some circle die-cuts cut from patterned papers. I added some plaid patterned paper for the Plaid Challenge #87 at Addicted to CAS. There was a little bit of glitter on the background paper and I added more glitter to the pink stitched frame as well. I colored the owls with Copic markers. Inside the sentiment was “Happy Mother’s Day. You’re a Hoot!” Thanks for visiting.

Holiday Fox Card

Christmas_Fox

  • Stamps and Dies – Lawn Fawn “Joy to the Woods”
  • Patterned paper – Carta Bella “Merry Alphabet”
  • Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities – Large Standard Circles
  • Red cardstock
  • Navy speckled cardstock
  • Copic Markers

I colored the stamped trees, fox, star and ornaments with Copic markers and created a Wintry little scene in the circular opening. The navy cardstock has specks that look a little like distant stars or SNOW as a backdrop for the large die-cut star. This is an entry for the Paper Players Challenge #274 “Let it Snow.” Thanks for stopping by.

Witchy with her cute friends

MFT-Halloween

  • Stamps – My Favorite Things “Witch Way is the Candy” clear stamp set
  • Embossing folder – Sizzix Texture Fades – Tim Holtz “Cobwebs”
  • Copic markers
  • Wink of Stella
  • Cardstock – Bazzill and BoBunny

I really enjoyed coloring these stamped images!  The little animals are so cute. I colored each with Copic markers and cut them out by hand. I popped up the frog with some foam adhesive and made a little spring out of paper so the bat would pop out and wiggle a bit. The background is black cardstock embossed with the Cobwebs Texture Fades by Sizzix. I was so pleased to be able to borrow the embossing folder from a friend while I was putting this card together! I then colored the web with my Wink of Stella pen for some sparkle (you know, the way a web would sparkle in the sun). For a closer look, some of the details are shown below.

I am entering this into the Friday Mashup Challenge this week for its Halloween theme. I’ve also been coloring along this month with Kathy’s coloring challenge at The Daily Marker: 30 Day Coloring Challenge. We try to color at least 10 minutes a day! Thanks for visiting today.mft-halloween-kitty

  • Patterned paper – Bella Blvd. “Color Chaos: Pickle Juice Strandz”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill Basics and BoBunny “Boysenberry Dot”
  • Dies – Spellbinder Nestabilities “Standard Circles Large”
  • Copic markers

‘Tis the season to begin creating all things Halloween! This card features a happy pumpkin with a mouse friend. I colored the stamped iUnderYourSpell-closemage with Copic markers and then layered papers to bring out the various colors in the image. This is also fits the challenge right now at Crafts Galore for a Halloween themed card. This card took me way longer than it should have to construct! I’ve been kind of in a creative slump lately and just not had time to complete a card, so it was a relief to get this put together! Thanks for visiting!

  • Patterned papers – BoBunny “Key Lime Collection” 6 X 6″ paper pad

Here is a kid’s card for Operation Write Home, starring Mr. Squirrel! I used a Hero Arts star die cut as a backdrop for him. The patterned papers I used for the star and the chevron background are from BoBunny. I colored Mr. Squirrel, also from Hero Arts, with Copic markers. I popped the elements up slightly with thin dimensional adhesive. I was inspired by Sketch #194 at Freshly Made Sketches for this card design. Thanks for visiting.
