- Die – Spellbinders – Swirl Happy Birthday Frame
- Patterned papers – Authentique Pleasant Collection
- Sequins – Neat & Tangled Festive Fall Sequin Mix
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Ranger Distress Ink – Carved Pumpkin
This is a very simple, yet elegant card with no stamping. It features one of the beautiful vintage images from Authentique’s Pleasant collection, framed with a decorative Spellbinders die cut. I edged the pumpkin image and the patterned background piece with Carved Pumpkin Distress ink. I popped up the pumpkin image onto the frame and adhered the whole thing to a white card base. I simply added a few sequins among the flowers as a final touch and that was it! Anything more would seem overpowering to me, but I tend to design on the side of simplicity. Thanks for stopping by.

- Die cuts:
- Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations – Skeleton Leaves
- Avery Elle – Pierced Mat Die
- Stamp – Stampendous “Seasonal Swirls”
- Inks – Ranger Tim Holtz Distress: Aged Mahogany, Carved Pumpkin, Forest Moss, Wild Honey and Walnut Stain
- Embossing powder – Lindy’s Stamp Gang – Pumpkin Fiesta
- Cardstock – Bazzill
It was fun to use this new leaf die set and then combine the leaves with items I’ve had in my stash for quite a while. I started off by applying five colors of Distress ink to mixed media cardstock with a foam applicator tool, blending the colors as I went. Once I was happy with the colors, I die cut the leaves from this fall-colored paper. I then die cut the dot-embossed kraft cardstock with the Avery Elle die and adhered it to the card base. I arranged the leaves on top, adhering them when I was happy with the composition. From there, I added the sentiment with dimensional adhesive and called it done! Thanks for visiting.

I was very proud to create this interactive card and have it work correctly the first time! This is Trenton’s birthday card (20th! Yikes!). He always likes critter cards, so I think it will be a hit.
I started out by creating the Distress Oxide paper using three different blue inks and lots of water drops. I used this for the sky in my scene. I cut it out using the scalloped square die and did the same with bright green cardstock. I then cut “hills” from the green and layered them onto the blue piece. I stamped, colored (with Copics) and cut out all of the roller coaster and critter pieces. I die-cut the slider with the roller coaster in place and then popped up the background, attached the pieces and inserted a penny with the roller coaster car adhered to it, into the slot. The bunny in the roller coaster car slides along the roller coaster very nicely! Love it! I heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of red cardstock and cut fish-tail flags on either end. I adhered all of the pieces onto a card base, making a 5-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ square card. I confess to playing with it, sliding the bunny car back and forth, before I put it in the mail. It is only slightly used!
Happy Birthday, Trenton!

- Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz – “Flutter”
- Flourishes LLC – “Botanical Bookplates”
- Embossing folder – Sizzix/Tim Holtz 3D Texture Fades “Botanical”
- Graphic 45 – Floral Shoppe Collection – 12 x 12 Double Sided Paper – “Indigo Lilies”
- Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Lacey Ovals”
- Pearls – KaiserCraft – Hot Pink
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I love floral images and butterflies, so this card was a joy to make. The floral paper is gorgeous and comes from an amazing collection from Graphic 45. Combining this paper with the new bling cardstock embossed with the new (to me) botanical embossing folder made for some tasty layers. I colored the butterflies with Distress inks using Ranger’s Detail Blending Tools that allowed me to blend the inks in smaller areas. I fussy-cut the butterflies to retain the antennae and popped them up with dimensional adhesive. I scattered a few pink pearls among the butterflies to tie the colors together. Thanks for visiting.

- Tim Holtz Ideaology Collage Paper – Floral
- My handmade collage paper
- Perfect Pearls Mists “Bronze”
- Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist “Creme de Chocolat”
- Cardstock
This is one of my favorite kinds of cards to make: mixed media. I layered my handmade collage tissue paper and some Tim Holtz collage paper onto cardstock with matte gel medium. I stamped the butterfly on a piece of tissue and adhered it with gel medium as well. After the piece dried, I sprayed it with the metallic inks and also inked the edges with black ink. I then added the die cut word and stamped sentiment and put the card together. Thanks for visiting.

- Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Fifteen”
- Patterned paper – BoBunny “Black Tie Affair Diamonds”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- American Crafts Glitter Buttons
- Twine – Doodlebug
I created this card for an exchange called “All About Me,” for which we all made a card that reflected us in some way. So I figured I had to have a penguin or two, and when I saw this sentiment I knew it was appropriate. Laughing is a good way to pass the time! Once I stamped the penguins, I colored the beaks, feet and phone with Sakura sparkle gel pens. I put together the elements a little off-kilter, which also seemed to kind of represent me! Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps – Lawn Fawn “Critter Concert”
- Dies – Lawn Fawn “Critter Concert,” “Shadow Box Card,” “Shadow Box Card Theater Add-On,” and “Little Music Notes”
- Patterned paper – Lawn Fawn “Really Rainbow” petite paper pad
- Cardstock
I love the Lawn Fawn stamp and die sets featuring talented animals playing band instruments. They’re the best! Then when I saw the little theater stage pieces that I could add onto the shadow box, I knew I had to build one! The really cool thing is that it will fold flat and slip right into an envelope if I want to mail one to someone.
Here is a shot from above the box–it is hard to share a good view of this little 3-D box.

I colored the animals with Copic markers. I then created a small scene on the stage with the bear and bird, and also decorated the sides of the box with other animals in the band and some musical notes. It is so fun to work with these critters and the little theater. Thanks for stopping by.

- Stamps – Lawn Fawn: “You are Sublime,” and “Push Here” sets
- Dies – Lawn Fawn: “You are Sublime,” “Lift the Flap Circles,” and “Porthole Frames”
- Copic markers
- Embossing powder – Ranger -Silver Pearl
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Paper Accents
This card was very fun to make. I die-cut the round flap, making a window in the top piece of grey cardstock. I colored my cast of characters with Copic markers and created the scene with the sea creatures in a layer underneath on light blue cardstock and adhered it behind the opening in the grey cardstock. I added the porthole frame around the circle flap and stamped “open” on the flap tab. The tab can then be tucked into the porthole frame. I colored the submarine image with metallic gel pens and adhered it to the outside of the flap. I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, adhering it to the bottom of the front panel. I then adhered the grey cardstock to the polka-dot, top fold card base. As always, Lawn Fawn has produced some great stamps and dies to create scenes with. I’m only getting started! Thanks for visiting.

I am behind in posting here. I made this card some time ago. I created the background by using an embossing folder and then sanding the paper to make the embossed tree trunk images stand out. I colored the stamped raccoons with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment, that came from the same stamp set as the raccoons, and die-cut it. I’ve had the button in my stash for years, and I thought it fit this card very well. It was really fun putting this card together. Thanks for visiting.
