- Stamps – Darcie’s “Here Comes the Sun”
- Die cuts made with Spellbinders Nestabilities “Standard Circles Large”
- Patterned papers – My Mind’s Eye “Come Away with Me” 6 X 6″ paper pad
- Bronze Pearl Pen – Viva Decor
- Cardstock – Bazzill
We need a sunny card during these cold Winter days! For this one, I used the OWH Sketch #206 at the Stars and Stamps blog and some paper from a My Mind’s Eye 6 X 6″ paper pad. The colors make the card appropriate for a recipient of either gender. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – from Simon Says Stamp “Square Sayings” clear set
- Dies – Simon Says Stamp/Memory Box “Tri Squares”
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
- Corner punch – Fiskars “Romantique”
Here is a new card using the current sketch at Unscripted Sketches #237. I stamped the top three squares with matching ink. The three matching polka-dot squares look like shadows in my interpretation. I popped up the sentiment square with dimensional adhesive just for a little more emphasis. This will be a nice Operation Write Home card . Thanks for visiting.

Here is my first card for 2014! I used the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches: Sketch #117 and kept it very clean and simple. I will have it be the first card in my Operation Write Home box, since I shipped off all of my cards at the end of 2013. Thanks for visiting today!

Here is another late-to-my-blog card–it is already on the way to OWH! And it is another kids’ love card for the OWH Midweek Throwdown from two weeks ago. I really enjoy making kids cards and I know it must be fun for our heroes to send cards home to their kids and young friends and relatives. I colored this hedgehog stamped image with Copic markers and layered it up with some nice contrasting colors. Thanks for stopping by.

- Stamps – Simon Says Stamp “Square Sayings” clear set
- Dies – Simon Says Stamp “Tri Square”
- Patterned papers – American Crafts Dear Lizzy “Lucky Charm”
- Embossing folder – Cuttlebug “Polka Dots”
- Stampendous “Detail White” embossing powder
- Cardstock – Bazzill
For this card, I used Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Sketch #199 as inspiration. I decided to emboss the entire background to add a little visual interest to all of that negative space. For the top square, I used patterned paper and embossed a heart I stamped with the Simon Says Stamp set, using white powder. For the second, I stamped the background with a heart pattern in the set and then over-stamped the sentiment with black ink. For the final square, I used the patterned paper for both the little envelope and the background, popping up the envelope with a bit more dimensional adhesive. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamp – Stamper’s Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection “Mini Blueprints” set
- Ranger Distress Inks – Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, and Mowed Lawn
- Perfect Pearls Mist – Biscotti
- Krylon gold pen
I made a set of 10 of these trading cards to exchange with my Craft Stamper group. We meet monthly and exchange ATCs and ideas from things we learn from Craft Stamper magazine. This design was inspired by an Andy Warhol technique featured in the November 2013 issue. I used Ranger Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls mists to create the background. I then stamped the tree in the same color as I applied to the background, and made a metallic gold border around the edge of the cards with a Krylon gold pen. I inked and stamped another tree image in Mowed Lawn green, cut it out and popped it up with dimensional adhesive to give the tree some visual interest. Finally, I added accents on the tree with Sakura Jelly Roll pens. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamp – Magenta Cat of the Month “Blondie”
- Stamp – Hero Arts “Year Round Sentiments” from the Operation Write Home collection
- Stamps – Emily Hilton “Movember” stamp set from Craft Stamper (created for male cancer awareness)
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This will make a fun Operation Write Home card for someone who has a great sense of humor to send to a kindred spirit! I made this card with inspiration and stamps from the November issue of Craft Stamper magazine (the glasses and moustache). Beware the cat in disguise. Have a great day!

- Stamp – Hero Arts “Painted Flower”
- Patterned papers – KaiserCraft “Black & White Timeless” 6-!/2″ pad and Echo Park – “For the Record” 6 X 6″ pad
- Border Punch – Stampin’ Up “Scallop Edge”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Distress Ink – Ranger “Broken China”
This is a great color scheme. The challenge for Day 276 at 365Cards was to create a card using black, white and blue. I tried to stay strictly with those colors, stamping the image in black ink on white and distressing the edges with blue ink. The patterned papers are also in those colors and the base card is a light blue. This will make a nice any occasion card for Operation Write Home. Thanks for stopping by.

- Stamp -Simon Says Stamp! “Square Sayings”
- Patterned papers – Echo Park Paper “For the Record 2″ 6 X 6” paper pad
- Embossing folder – Cuttlebug Anna Griffin “Poppy”
- Rhinestones – Queen & Company
- Cardstock – Bazzill
Here is an Operation Write Home card that features pretty patterned papers, a nice textured background, and some healthy “white space” that showcases the other elements of the card. I used a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches (#104) for the basic design. This card is an example of using white space to draw the eye to the main design elements of this card, as described in Design Boot Camp at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps. Since I tend toward simpler cards, I enjoy using white space as it can really give the eye a rest. Thanks for stopping by–I know it has been a while since I’ve posted. I’ll try to turn that around!

- Paper – Steampunk image – Graphic45 “Steampunk Spells Collection”
- Paper – Hat, Black Lace and Chevron patterns – Bazzill “Arsenic & Lace” collection
- Paper – Orange – Basic Grey “Archaic: Rusty”
- Game Spinners – Tim Holtz Idea-ology
- Stamp – Hero Arts – Operation Write Home “Year Round Sentiments”
- Embossing powder – Stampendous Detail Silver

I made this card for my brother-in-law’s birthday. I used the Sketch #258 from Clean and Simple Stamping for inspiration. It was fun to use the image from the Graphic45 Steampunk paper as the focal point and then repeat some of the elements for an embellishment (you can see the embellishment more clearly in the close-up shot on the right). I embossed the sentiment so it was clearly visible on the darker patterned paper. Thanks for stopping by.
