- Die – Memory Box “Flicker Hearts”
- Stamp – My Sentiments Exactly H178 “Valentine’s Day”
- Crystal Stickers “Ruby Round 3mm”
- Cardstock – Neenah Solar White and Bazzill (red)
This is the first Valentine I’ve made so far this year. It features the lovely die from Memory Box that really deserves to be the focal point in this clean and simple card. I really like the detail that you get with this die. I backed the cut area with red cardstock and added the red bling in honor of Addicted to CAS Challenge #80 “Code Word Red”, and which follows the basic layout of Paper Players Sketch #279. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps – Altnew “Fresh Freesia”
- Corner punch – Fiskars “Spiral”
- Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers
- Cardstock – Worldwin
- Watercolor paper – Canson Aquarelle 140 lb. cold press
This clean and simple, one-layer card features the lovely Altenew Freesia stamps. I’ll be giving this card to a friend who recently lost her mother. The coloring is done with Zig Clean Color markers and a water brush. It is so fun to watercolor with these–the results are actually quite remarkable (bad pun–sorry!). Thanks for visiting.

- Papers – Chickaniddy Crafts 365 Collection – “Daily Schedule” and “Measured Memories”
- Stamp – Avery Elle “Oh Happy Day” sentiment set
- Cardstock – Kraft (unknown source)
- Ranger Distress Ink – Pumice Stone
This is a super simple card design because the Chickaniddy Crafts patterned papers are the focus here. I popped up the sentiment panel with dimensional adhesive and applied Distress inks to blend the edges of each element. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamp – Lawn Fawn “Chevron Backdrops”
- Die – Simon Says Stamp “Stamptember Thanks”
- Sequins – Doodlebug Designs
- Bling – Silver metal 3 mm dots
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Ink – Hero Arts “Pool to Navy Ombre” ink pad
I created this clean and simple card using the Lawn Fawn chevron stamp that is great for backgrounds and used a die cut sentiment from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the design with Hero Arts ombre ink. The Addicted to CAS Challenge #68 was to use chevron on a clean and simple card. The Operation Write Home (OWH) – Our Daily Bread Challenge for July is a Thank You card. And I added a little bit of sparkle and shine to this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. It’s a three-fer! What fun! This might be my last OWH card. Maybe. Thanks for visiting today!

- Stamps – Hero Arts “OWH Missing You”
- Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels One”
- Border punch – Stampin’ Up “Scallop Edge”
- Patterned paper – Heidi Grace “Sunshowers”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- White Signo Uni-Ball pen
This card just made me happyto make, with happy colors and a funny bird. Hopefully it will cheer the recipient up. It will go in my final Operation Write Home shipment and hopefully a service member will mail this home to a child who needs a smile. I also made this for Challenge #64 at Addicted to CAS, where the challenge is to make a clean and simple card with an animal. I used some patterned paper and colored the bird with Copic markers. I liked keeping the “white space” on the right hand side with the sentiment. I pulled the whole design together with the hand-drawn “stitching.” I’m coloring for at least 10 minutes everyday for The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge, which is a fun addition to any day! Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps –
- Simon Says Stamp “Tag Sayings”
- Simon Says Stamp “Square Sayings”
- Avery Elle “Petals & Stems”
- Die – Simon Says Stamp “Medium Tags”
- Rhinestones – KaiserCraft – Dark Green
- Cardstock – Bazzill and Paper Accents
- Watercolor paper – Strathmore
- Twine – Little B
For this card I created a watercolor background and stamped over it with silhouette-style floral stamps. I used stamps from several different stamp sets to put this altogether. I always find mixing-up stamp sets to be fun. The current challenge (Challenge #16) for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Group is to use watercoloring on your card or project. Here you’ve got my entry. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “Smells Like Cake”
- Dies – The Cat’s Pajamas “Fancy Flip Cut Ups”
- Patterned paper – Hampton Art Ki Memories “Metro Garden”
- Patterned cardstock – BoBunny
- Solid cardstock – Bazzill
I had not created a flip card like this before. I used The Cat’s Pajamas dies to make it, which made it a simpler process (they also have a video on their site with a demo on how to make a flip card with this die set). The penguins are on the outside of the card and when you flip that portion, you can see the sentiment (below). I colored the penguins with Copic markers. We gave this to my brother-in-law for his birthday. Thanks for stopping by today.

- Stencil – Donna Downey “Leaf-Stem Trio”
- Stamp – from Hero Arts “Live Life” set
- Cardstock – BoBunny
- Dylusions Ink Spray – Fresh Lime
- Distress Ink – Peeled Paint
I am a big fan of leaf motifs of any kind, be they featured on stamps, stencils, photos, or anything else. So when I saw the Addicted to CAS (Clean and Simple) Challenge with the code word: Green, the first thing I thought of was leaves. I sprayed the Dylusions spray ink through the leaf stencil for the background and then stamped the sentiment. I then blended Distress Ink around the edges and mounted it onto a folded card. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps –
- Stampers Anonymous Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi “Hydrangea”
- Simon Says Stamp “OWH – Brave” set
- Stencil – Stampers Anonymous Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi “Hydrangea”
- Ranger Distress Inks: Shaded Lilac, Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar, Antique Linen, Mowed Lawn
- Cardstock – Ninah Solar White 80#
- Uni-Ball Signo Pen – white
This clean and simple (CAS) card features the hydrangea from a recent Stampers Anonymous stamp and stencil set. The Addicted to CAS Challenge #58 is to be inspired by the code word: Distress. I used Ranger Distress inks through the stencil after I stamped the hydrangea image. I also spattered dilluted Distress ink to tie the elements of the card together and still keep it one layer. I added some stippling with my white Signo pen to provide some texture and pattern to the image. This also fits the bill for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Group Challenge #14, which is to create a one layer Clean and Simple Card. It is pretty challenging to create a single layer card! This will be a perfect card to send in my Operation Write Home box. Thanks for stopping by.

- Patterned papers – Doodlebug Designs “Hip Hip Horray: Party Animals” (both sides)
- Stamp -Hero Arts “Year Round Sentiments”
- Dies – Memory Box “Round Buttons”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Baker’s Twine – Doodlebug Designs
I made this card for the February Mid-month Challenge over at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps. The challenge is to make cards for kids, which is my absolute favorite type of card to make for OWH! This is a simple, colorful card featuring the Doodlebug paper with lots of kid-friendly characters. I was also inspired by the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches: #175. I like the simplicity of the sketch since the paper is so visually dominant. Thanks for visiting today.
