For this card I created a watercolor background and stamped over it with silhouette-style floral stamps. I used stamps from several different stamp sets to put this altogether. I always find mixing-up stamp sets to be fun. The current challenge (Challenge #16) for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Group is to use watercoloring on your card or project. Here you’ve got my entry. Thanks for visiting.

Welcome to my stop on The Cat’s Pajamas Spring Blog Hop 2015! We are celebrating the wonderful new Spring release of new stamps, dies and templates! If you are hopping along, you should have just come from Wendy M.’s blog, Wake Up with Wendy. The top of the hop is at Lisa’s blog, My Little Creative Escape. Today I’ve got some major muscle groups working!

- Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “You Got This” set
- Patterned papers – Crate Paper “Flea Market” 6 X 6″ paper pad
- Die cuts:
- The Cat’s Pajamas “Wavy Stitched Border”
- Spellbinders Nestabilities “Lacey Circles”
- Cardstock – BoBunny Island Mist Double Dot and Paper Accents
Our bunny friend is proving himself, even by lifting the added weight of that little bird! I took some liberties with Sketch 286 so I could incorporate the die cut across the top made with the Wavy Stitched Border die. I colored the bunny with Copic markers and trimmed him out and popped him up for a little dimension. Or is he a she??
I’m looking forward to playing more with the products in the new release. Some of my all-time favorite critters are featured, so I can’t go wrong! Thanks for stopping by today.

- Stampers Anonymous Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi “Hydrangea”
- Simon Says Stamp “OWH – Brave” set
- Stencil – Stampers Anonymous Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi “Hydrangea”
- Ranger Distress Inks: Shaded Lilac, Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar, Antique Linen, Mowed Lawn
- Cardstock – Ninah Solar White 80#
- Uni-Ball Signo Pen – white
This clean and simple (CAS) card features the hydrangea from a recent Stampers Anonymous stamp and stencil set. The Addicted to CAS Challenge #58 is to be inspired by the code word: Distress. I used Ranger Distress inks through the stencil after I stamped the hydrangea image. I also spattered dilluted Distress ink to tie the elements of the card together and still keep it one layer. I added some stippling with my white Signo pen to provide some texture and pattern to the image. This also fits the bill for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Group Challenge #14, which is to create a one layer Clean and Simple Card. It is pretty challenging to create a single layer card! This will be a perfect card to send in my Operation Write Home box. Thanks for stopping by.

- Patterned papers – Doodlebug Designs “Hip Hip Horray: Party Animals” (both sides)
- Stamp -Hero Arts “Year Round Sentiments”
- Dies – Memory Box “Round Buttons”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Baker’s Twine – Doodlebug Designs
I made this card for the February Mid-month Challenge over at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps. The challenge is to make cards for kids, which is my absolute favorite type of card to make for OWH! This is a simple, colorful card featuring the Doodlebug paper with lots of kid-friendly characters. I was also inspired by the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches: #175. I like the simplicity of the sketch since the paper is so visually dominant. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamp – Simon Says Stamp “Square Sayings”
- Die – Simon Says Stamp “Tri Square”
- Stencil – Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection “Dot Fade”
- Modeling paste – Viva Decor Modellier-Creme – Light Green
- Patterned paper – from KaiserCraft “Kaleidoscope” 6 – 1/2″ Paper Pad
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Epoxy dots – Doodlebug Design “Limeade Assortment”
I’ve made another card featuring dots for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Group. It is the last day for the spots and dots challenge there. For this card, I applied modeling paste through the stencil for a nice group of raised dots for a background. I used patterned paper with larger dots and then added some epoxy dots for a tri-fecta! This will be a nice Operation Write Home card for a hero to send home to a loved one. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps – from The Cat’s Pajamas “Hearts and Flowers,” “Flying By” and “Smells Like Cake” sets
- Patterned papers – My Mind’s Eye “Happy Day” 6 X 6″ paper pad
- Cardstock – Bazzill Bling
- Sequins – Doodlebug Designs
- Copic Markers
I created this birthday card with items from my stash, and I am entering it in two different challenges. First, I used Sketch #168 from Freshly Made Sketches; the inspiration is from The Cat’s Pajamas (TCP) TCPTUES281 Inspiration Challenge. I stamped the snail and sunflower TCP image and then masked it to stamp in the clouds from another TCP set. I colored the stamped images with Copic markers and then I layered the patterned papers to tie in the colors of the image. I used an orange card base for some contrast. I added the sequins for a little sparkle and to unify the color scheme. All in all, it is a pretty simple card. Thanks for visiting.

- Dies –
- Sizzix – Tim Holtz Alterations “Chevron”
- Simon Says Stamp – “Stamptember Thanks”
- Patterned papers – My Mind’s Eye – “Confetti: Celebrate Boy ‘Dots,’ ‘Harlequin’ and ‘Yellow Green’
- Sequins – Doodlebug Designs
- Felt
For this challenge, the CAS-ual Friday Challenge #135, I was to use felt and sequins. It is really fun to cut felt with dies–at least when you’ve got good felt. I hadn’t tried it with this Tim Holtz chevron die, but it worked well. I then used the same die to cut some polka dot paper and fit the inner pieces into the felt openings for a pretty interesting combination. The polka dot paper coordinates with the harlequin paper in the background. Then I adhered some well-matched sequins from my stash to add some interest. I chose another die cut for the sentiment, making it in a contrasting color so that it would stand out enough to be legible! Lots of angles! Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps –
- Owl – Hero Arts “OWH Missing You” set
- Sentiment – Lawn Fawn “Critters in the Forest” set
- Die – Hero Arts Frame Cuts – “Missing You Cuts OWH”
- Patterned papers – BoBunny “Trail Mix” collection 6 X 6″ paper pad
- Cardstock – Paper Accents
Here is a woodsy card for the day. I colored the owl with Copic markers after cutting it out with the matching die. I liked how the background patterned paper has a round motif and the circle die-cut behind the owl repeats that. This is OWH Sketch #245 and will be a good addition to my “Miss You” section of my Operation Write Home collection. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps – from Avery Elle “Oh Happy Day” set
- Patterned paper – Pebbles “We Go Together: XOXO”
- Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Standard Circles Large”
- Epoxy hearts – Pebbles
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
I used Sketch #167 at Freshly Made Sketches for this card today. For the focal image I used Ranger Distress Ink for the base color and then stamped the Avery Elle stamps over it with more intense colors. This is a very Clean and Simple card, with the sketch and variety of papers taking center stage. It was fun to use the little epoxy hearts to echo the patterned paper for just a small touch of interest. This will be a nice addition to my Operation Write Home shipment also! Thanks for visiting.
