- Stamps – Ranger – Dina Wakley Media “Scribbly Flowers” (flower and sentiment)
- Paint – Dina Wakley Media acrylic paints
- Dina Wakley Media scribble sticks
- Dina Wakley Media Tape
- Washi tape
- Hampton Art KI Memories Yellow gems
- Handmade paper – Teal
- Cardstock – Black – Bazzill
I created this brightly colored, mixed media card by brushing on acrylic paints in the background, and accenting the stamped image with Scribble Sticks. I stamped the quote on Dina’s Media Tape, which is sort of like homemade Washi tape (I scribbled on it also). I added a thin strip of patterned Washi tape I had in my stash as well. I’m entering this card in the Creative Artiste’s Challenge #26, which is to create using mixed media. Thanks for visiting.

- Beaver: Avery Elle “Wood You?”
- Sentiment: Simon Says Stamp/Hero Arts “Brave (OWH)”
- Dies – Avery Elle “Wood You?”
- Patterned paper – My Mind’s Eye “29th Street Market – Carefree ‘Graceful’ Pattern Petite”
- Ranger Distress Oxide inks – Broken China, Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet
- Copic markers
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I’m continuing to play around with Distress Oxide ink backgrounds. I applied the colors listed above to a craft sheet and spritzed with water, layering them and drying between applications. This is becoming a favorite background technique, but I can’t have just one favorite! I could create nothing but backgrounds and be perfectly happy!
I colored the beaver and flower bouquet with Copics and popped them up with dimensional adhesive. This is a nice little surprise with a couple of goodies in my son’s suitcase as he heads out on a fun trip tomorrow. Enjoy your day!

- Printworks “Hoppity Easter”
- Die – Little B “Labels”
- Patterned paper – American Crafts “Lovely Bunny” (both sides)
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Brads – Making Memories – Sherbet Flower Brads
I colored this nice bunny image with Copic markers in bright colors. I layered the patterned papers onto a square card base and placed the sentiment at an angle. That accentuates the whimsical sentiment that I’ve had in my stash for years! I repeated the springy look by adding some flower brads to the edges, and yes I’ve had those from the days when we put brads on every card or paper project! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Easter!

I’ve been meaning to make an otter card with this set for a while now. I brought it with us to the coast–how appropriate–and finally got it colored and put together! I colored the otter with Zig watercolor markers and the ribbon on the present with a metallic marker. It was fun to layer the different papers using the varying sizes of die-cut circles–almost like paper piecing. Thanks for stopping by today.

- Sentiment stamp – Altenew “Vintage Roses” set
- Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities – “Labels Seventeen”
- Die cuts – Tim Holtz Ideaology “Snippets” and “Paper Dolls”
- Magicals – Lindy’s Stamp Gang – Cattail Copper Brown, Ponderosa Pines Olive, and Red Hot Poker Orange
- Distress Oxide inks – Spiced Marmalade, Walnut Stain, Worn Lipstick
- Distress Ink – Mowed Lawn
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I used two different backgrounds to create layers on this year’s anniversary card I made for my husband. One background was the Distress Oxide layer that provides some subtle color. The brightly colored, sparkly background which I created using Lindy’s Magicals powder was then die cut for the backdrop for the married couple. I combined the Tim Holtz die cuts and stamped a sentiment for a focal point, making this a perfect card for the Happy Little Stampers monthly challenge to create with dies. Thanks for visiting.
