I believe this card is technically called a flip card, although I’ve also seen it referred to as a flop card! I wouldn’t call it a flop–I’ve made much worse cards! Anyhoo, it is constructed so that when you open it up the butterfly on the front flips and the sentiment is behind it. You can get the idea in the photo below.

I heat-embossed the moth on the front with a subtly iridescent powder, which isn’t overly evident in the top photo. This Graphic45 paper collection is so pretty, it was hard to choose which patterns to use! I’ve been coveting it for a long time! But I really was drawn to the greens of these two papers. Thanks for visiting.

- My Favorite Things “Stitched Traditional Tag”
- Lawn Fawn “Stitched Circle Frames”

This is another Easter card I created using the Authentique papers from the “Jubilee” collections. I cut the bunny image from the “Jubilee Six” paper with the My Favorite Things tag die, which is the centerpiece of the card. The background (green print) panel and the carrot strip are both from Jubilee papers as well. All of the cut pieces were edged with Ripe Persimmon ink to tie the elements together. Thanks for visiting.

- Card base – Authentique Jubilee Two Collection: “Authentique Lace Two”
- Bunny image – Authentique Jubiliee Collection: “Jubilee Two”
- Die – Lawn Fawn “Scalloped Rectangle Stackables”
- Stamp – Avery Elle “Loads of Wishes”
- Washi tape
- Ranger Distress Ink – Walnut Stain
- Miniature trowel
I designed this card for a class I’m teaching at Runaway Art and Craft Studio (class description). This is one of four Easter cards in the class, all using Authentique Easter papers. The image with the bunny and chicks comes from the Authentique Jubilee paper collection. I cut the bunny image from that collection, added a strip of washi tape and inked the edges to keep a vintage look. I added a small trowel, tying twine around the handle with a bow for an additional Spring touch. I’ve been waiting to find the perfect excuse to use those little trowels–they’re so doggone cute! I stamped the sentiment and adhered the entire thing to the card base (made from another lovely Authentique paper) that I die cut for a scalloped edge. A very simple card to share some Easter joy. Thanks for stopping by.

- Prima-Finnabair Art Basics 3-D Gloss Gel
- Stamps – Ranger Ink – Dina Wakley Media “Scribbly Flowers”
- Deli paper

- Tim Holtz Idea-ology tissue tape – “Laboratorie”
- Sequins – Doodlebug Designs
- OHTO Fude Ballpoint Pen – black
- Krylon gold metallic pen
- Black Cardstock – Bazzill
I created this mixed media card beginning with a beverage napkin that I adhered to a piece of Bristol paper with gel medium. I stamped and lightly painted some deli paper and added tissue tape to the piece. Then I applied the 3-D gloss gel through a couple of different stencils and allowed that to dry into a nice textured coating.
I have included a detailed photo so you can see the texture of the stenciled 3-D gel medium. It is pretty cool!
I loosely outlined the heart with the Fude Ball pen and then ran my metallic gold pen around the entire card, topping it off with a piece of ribbon and some sequins. I mounted the piece onto a black card base. It is amazing what you can do with a paper napkin! Thanks for visiting.

I made this simple card featuring stamped iris. The colored ink was applied to the stamp with Marvy markers. I then added the sentiment at the base of the card. I mailed this card to a friend of a friend in Scotland, who is soon to be undergoing cancer surgery and treatment. Wishing Sandra only the best. Thanks for visiting.

This was a fun Valentine to make, combining supplies from a several different companies. The squirrel is surrounded by candy conversation hearts, although his acorn seems to be his favored treat! I colored the squirrel with Copic markers to start things off. Then I die-cut the hearts, coloring and stamping the conversation hearts. I die cut the base shapes and arranged all of the pieces to make this Valentine for my son. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentine’s Day!

- Cardstock – Bazzill Bling
- Distress ink – Stormy Sky (for edging)

I created this card for a challenge a small group of cardmaking friends had recently to “put a bird on it.” You know, when in doubt, put a bird on it. So it was fun to put this together and color the animals and their accessories with Copic markers and stack them. I’m trying to use up some of my patterned paper in my stash (not so successfully because there is a lot of it, but its all so pretty!). I liked this simple card sketch from Sketch Saturday challenge blog, and it was a perfect design for this card. Thanks for stopping by.

I made a scene using stamps from several different sets from The Cat’s Pajamas, in response to their latest challenge to create a scene. I made a single layer card and colored the entire thing with Copic markers. Obviously, that’s a challenge for me! I enjoy combining stamps from a variety of sets–that makes it lots of fun. You can tell I live in Oregon. It looks like they are staying inside the tent because there is a rainstorm! Thanks for stopping by.
