- Patterned paper – Pebbles “Nancy”
- Ribbon – American Crafts
- Crystal stickers – Clear 2mm, Mark Richards, Inc.

This was a fun color combination–and what better way to use black and white (and yellow) than in creating a penguin?! Hurray! I made this card in response to the challenge at 365 Cards for Day 251 – Black, White and Yellow color combination. I like adding one more color to black and white in cardmaking. Thanks for stopping by today.

Now is the time to make Valentines for our troops overseas. I need to make a lot to send off to Operation Write Home (OWH) for our heroes to send home. This is a simple card I made in response to the
OWH Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown challenge, which was a call for Valentines. I played around with dry embossed hearts and a stamped heart, adding some Distress inks to the edges. Thanks for stopping by today.

- Stamp – Inky Antics “Italic Thank You”
- Die cut flower – made with Spellbinders Shapeabilities “Floral Doily Motifs”
- Embossing folder – Sizzix/Hero Arts “Chevrons & Flourishes set”
- Brad (flower center) – from My Mind’s Eye: Lush “Turquoise Decorative Brads” set
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
- Corner punch – Fiskars 4 in 1 “Spiral” embossing corner punch
I used Sketch #144 at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps for this thank you card. The color scheme is in response to 365 Cards Day 247 Color Challenge. This color scheme was a little bit of a stretch for me, but that’s why they call it a challenge! I repeated the swirl motif in the texture of the embossing folder and the BoBunny cardstock. The decorative corners also repeats a similar shape. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamp – Hero Arts
- Die cut – made from Spellbinders Shapeabilities “Floral Doily Motifs”
- Border punch – Stampin’ Up “Scallop Edge”
- Sentiment – computer generated
- Patterned paper – SEI “Happy Day: Make a Wish

Here is a bright card for a Monday! The Day 241 Challenge at 365 Cards is Belated Birthday–it’s not too late! I found the sentiment among many belated birthday sentiments online. I jazzed the scalloped edge up a little bit with my pearl pen, which is a quick way to add “pearls” to a card! Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamp – Paula Best “pumpkin cat”
- Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pen “Copper-star” and “Green-star”
- Inkssentials Opaque pen – White
- Kraft cardstock
I made this spooky little ATC after being inspired by “Zentangle-style Doodles” article in the November 2012 issue of Craft Stamper magazine. The article is written and projects created by artist Lisa Mason and opened up a little bit of a different creative outlet! It shows how to use your stamps as a starting point and doodling around the image for a whole new look. So for this one, I used an opaque white pen to doodle on the Kraft paper, then I added outlines to the pumpkin and cat’s eyes with Sakura Sparkle pens. The challenge today, Day 237 at 365 Cards, is Spooky. So this fits the bill, even though this Paula Best stamp is pretty cute, while being spooky! Thanks for visiting today.

- Decorative tape – Teresa Collins “Christmas Cottage”
- Twine – The Cat’s Pajamas “Divine Twine: Peppermint”

I used a classic design for this card: Sketch 56 at Freshly Made Sketches. The focal point is a lovely sticker by Penny Black. The colors are just on the edge of traditional–a little brighter than the standards. Thanks for stopping by.

- Stamps – pumpkins and foliage from Hampton Art Stamps/Graphic 45, “Happy Haunting 2” set
- Sentiment stamp – Hero Arts “Year Round Sentiments”
- Patterned paper – We R Memory Keepers “Black Widow” 6 X 6″ pad
- Cardstock – Bazzill and Jennie Bowlen
- Distress Markers – Ranger
I used Sketch #212 from Clean & Simple Stamping for this birthday card. It has a real Autumnal feeling to it. I combined three stamps from the Hampton Art set, masking one pumpkin behind the other. I colored them with Distress Markers and spritzed them, then went in with a water brush to do more watercoloring. Thanks for stopping by.

- Stamps – Inkadinkado “Leaves” clear mini stamps set and Penny Black “Flourish Birthday”
- Pearl pen – Violet – Viva Decor
- Alcohol inks and Distress inks – Ranger
- Packing tape
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This was an incredibly well timed challenge! I was in the middle of playing with this packing tape technique when 365 Cards issued its Tape It Challenge! My stamping group was experimenting with this technique, which was featured in Craft Stamper magazine (October 2012 issue, pp. 38-39). We applied packing tape to an old dictionary page, ripping off small pieces and then taped the whole thing down to a piece of white cardstock. Then I applied Ranger alcohol inks to make a mottled, stone background. If you look very closely you can barely see the text mixed in with the background colors. The background is nice and shiny thanks to the tape. I then stamped the leaves in Distress ink on watercolor paper, spritzed with water and cut them out. I mounted the leaves on cardstock and popped them up with dimensional adhesive and then added the sentiment. I added the “pearls” in the top right corner with pearl pen. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – Flourishes “Calendar Set 1” and sentiment from Hero Arts “Everyday Sayings”
- Die cuts made from Nestabilities “Classic Ovals” and “Lacey Ovals”
- Patterned Cardstock – BoBunny
- Solid cardstock – Bazzill
I used a lovely crocus stamp from Flourishes for this card. I colored the image with Copic markers first, and then added colored pencil for highlights and additional shading. I layered the die cut ovals for an elegant look. This week’s Midweek Throwdown Challenge at OWH was to make an anniversary card, so this technique worked well for such a card. Thanks for visiting.

- Rhinestone – Mark Richards, Inc. – Citron Round 3mm

This is one of my first Christmas cards for Operation Write Home. We need to ship our Christmas cards early in order for our overseas heroes to send cards home for their families. This is a fun one with lots of color and Santa, so I’m hoping it is cheery for both the sender and the recipient! I used the sketch #141 at OWH Stars and Stamps and stamps from The Cats Pajamas. I colored the images with Copic markers. Thanks for stopping by!
