Here is another “love” card for Operation Write Home. I used OWH sketch #204 for this card and colored the cute little fox from Lawn Fawn with Copic markers. I popped up all of the circles with some dimensional adhesive and distressed the edges of my papers with Pumice Stone distress ink from Ranger. Thanks for visiting today.

- Patterned papers – Lawn Fawn “Into the Woods”
- Sequins – Lawn Fawn “Lawn Ornaments”
- Border punch – Martha Stewart “Zig Zag” Edge Punch
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I really like this stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I am pretty sure that this little creature is a raccoon, but it has a kind of skunk-like tail, so I can’t be absolutely sure! I had fun making this card and it is the only Thanksgiving card I made this year. It is perfect for the “Thankful” challenge at 365 Cards for Day 331. I haven’t played with sequins for a long time, so I had a good time with this card! Have a very happy Thanksgiving!

- Stamp – Penny Black “Loads of Love”
- Patterned papers – American Crafts “Hugs & Kisses” and “All My Heart”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Ric Rac
I created this card using the Mojo Monday Sketch #320, even though I didn’t get my card linked up over there quickly enough! It is another Valentine for Operation Write Home with a friendly hedgehog. I colored the hedgehog with Copic markers and tried to bring out a little bit of the blue green in the papers in highlights of his spikes, blending it in with the greys. Then again, it may have just been a bad day at the hedgehog salon. May yours be better! Thanks for visiting.

- Stamp – Hero Arts “Year Round Sentiments” from the Operation Write Home collection
- Stamps – Emily Hilton “Movember” stamp set from Craft Stamper (created for male cancer awareness)
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This will make a fun Operation Write Home card for someone who has a great sense of humor to send to a kindred spirit! I made this card with inspiration and stamps from the November issue of Craft Stamper magazine (the glasses and moustache). Beware the cat in disguise. Have a great day!

Today’s card is a Valentine using OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch #198. I colored the bunny with Copic markers and cut it out, popping it up just a bit so he stands out nicely against the polka dot background. Thanks for stopping by.

- Star Punch – EK Success
- Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Twenty-Two”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I really like the bunnies featured in some of The Cat’s Pajamas stamps! This set is perfect for this card which I made for the Operation Write Home (OWH) Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown Challenge: Seeing Stars. I colored the image with Copic markers and popped up three punched stars in the lower left corner to balance out the composition. I’m trying to get going on my next box of OWH cards. My goal is to create 26 more cards for OWH before the end of the year! Eeek. So that means 25 after this one! Wish me luck. Thanks for visiting.

I can think of few things better than having animals on one’s Christmas cards. Just my opinion. So this week’s Midweek Throwdown at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps is to create a Christmas card featuring something from nature. You can see where I immediately jumped. The Cat’s Pajamas always makes outstanding animal stamps–of course, they are often penguins which make them even more outstanding! I colored the image with Copic markers and added some Glossy Accents to the little fishing hole to make it look like water. The snowflake die cut is to convince you that it is cold there! Thanks for checking this out today!

- Stamp – from Penny Black “Loads of Love” set
- Patterned papers – from My Mind’s Eye “Hootenanny” 6 X 6″ paper pad
- Cardstock – BoBunny Back to Backs (Brilliant Blue Dot)
- Sakura Gelly Roll Pen – ClearStar
- (Inside) Action Wobble Spring
This is a fun card for my niece’s birthday. Although it is difficult to see (I refrained from including a little video showing the boing action of the spring-y sentiment inside!), the sentiment on the interior of the card wobbles on a little spring. Since I’ve just taken a quick Online Card Classes Insider class, I’m trying to pay more attention to the innards of my cards. I’ve had these little springs, so I wanted to use one for this. Below is a photo of the inside sentiment. I used Sketch 105 at Freshly Made Sketches for my design inspiration, and added a little sparkle with the Gelly Roll pen on the main image and the dotted line border around it. Thanks for visiting today!

- Stamps
- Squirrel Collage – Magenta “
- Oak Leaves – Inkadinkado “Leaves”
- Acorn – Impression Obsession Heart Art Studios “Acorn”
- Patterned paper – BoBunny “Trail Mix Collection” 6 X 6″ paper pad
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Ranger Distress Inks: Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint, Barn Door and Wild Honey
This is a birthday card for a friend who receives a squirrely card from us each year while we all go camping together. I based this card’s design on Unscripted Sketches Summer Flashback Sketch #69. I distressed the patterned paper with Ranger Distress Inks and spattered with water to create a background that matched the stamped leaves and acorns, which I distressed with the same ink colors. I popped up the acorn and one of the oak leaves with dimensional adhesive for a little 3-D effect. I created this card outside on a picnic table up in the mountains while camping. I had some chipmunk friends nearby, just to set the mood! Thanks for visiting today and Happy Birthday, Allyn!
PostScript: This card was selected as one of the Top Three cards created and posted using Unscripted Sketches Summer Flashback Sketch #69! Hurray!
