- Stamp – Hero Arts – Operation Write Home “You’re Always in my Heart” set
- Patterned papers – Basic Grey Hipster Collection: “neato,” “fab,” and “radical.”
- Arrow sticker – Basic Grey Hipster Collection stickers
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Wood Tape – BARC – “Cherry”
I created this card for the Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown Challenge: Masculine “Thinking of You” card. I wanted to use some of the new (to me) papers I just found at Tuesday Morning—marked way down! I’ve always been a fan of Basic Grey, so these were right up my alley. Then I threw in some of the new wood tape I found. I made up a sketch that would accommodate several patterns and away I went. I inked the edges of all of the pieces to create a visual separation. Thanks for stopping by today.

I am in a bunny phase now. I’m making a number of Operation Write Home cards featuring bunnies. Not necessarily Easter cards, because that limits their use to just that holiday. But bunnies are Spring-y and cute and I guess I have a fair number in my stash. Today I used the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, which is Sketch #122. I unearthed a couple of these bunnies stamped off for me. I don’t know the origin of this stamp, so if anyone can enlighten me, I’d appreciate it. I colored him and his carrot with Copic markers and layered him so he’d stand out. I chose some hexagon patterned paper for a backdrop and will add him to the OWH Midweek Throwdown Hexagon Challenge from last week. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamps – Verve Stamps “Bunny Shake”
Stencil – The Crafter’s Workshop “Hexagons”
Distress Inks – Ranger: Tumbled Glass, Milled Lavendar, Seedless Preserves
Copic Markers
Cardstock – Paper Accents
Today I’m using hexagons for the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown Challenge to use hexagons on a card. Hexagons have gotten to be a pretty popular shape for stamps, stencils, die cuts, etc. I applied Distress Inks with a sponge applicator using a stencil with various sizes of hexagons for the background. I’ve had this bunny stamp for a long time, but I haven’t ever used him. I colored him very simply with Copic markers. Since I wanted to make him shake (had to do it!), I popped him up with a skinny paper accordian. Now he shakes! The sentiment was part of this stamp set. Thanks for visiting today.

- Digital image – Bugaboo Digi Stamps “Squirrel”
- Stamp – Simon Says Stamp “Tag Sayings”
- Die – Memory Box “Nutty Acorn”
- Embossing folder – Cuttlebug “Woodgrain”
- Cardstock – Bazzill and BoBunny
Squirrely! Squirrely! Shake your bushy tail! So this is a camp song that my son taught me. He’s pretty crazy for squirrels. This past summer, his first as a counselor, he chose his camp name to be “Chipmunk.” I colored this image with Copic markers and created a nice woodgrain textured background. The Memory Box acorn just seemed like a natural accessory for Squirrely. I created this card for my latest Operation Write Home (OWH) boxes, and I’m a little late (read: a LOT late!), but this is a card fitting for the OWH Midweek Throwdown Challenge from the week before last: Love Cards for Kids. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamps – from Lawn Fawn “Into the Woods” set
- Patterned papers – My Mind’s Eye “Happy Day”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I created this cheery card with Sketch #205 at Operation Write Home (OWH) Stars & Stamps. This would be a nice card for a child to receive from a hero, with the cute animal and bright colors! I still haven’t figured out if this is a raccoon, skunk or maybe a chipmunk! I’m thinking chipmunk! Any help there would be appreciated! Thanks for stopping by today.

- Stamp – Hero Arts “Year Round Sentiments” from the Operation Write Home collection
- Stamps – Emily Hilton “Movember” stamp set from Craft Stamper (created for male cancer awareness)
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This will make a fun Operation Write Home card for someone who has a great sense of humor to send to a kindred spirit! I made this card with inspiration and stamps from the November issue of Craft Stamper magazine (the glasses and moustache). Beware the cat in disguise. Have a great day!

- Stamps – Simon Says Stamp – “Square Sayings”
- Patterned papers – Simple Stories “Take a Hike”
- Dies – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Standard Circles Large”

This is a card for Operation Write Home. I used sketch #317 at Mojo Monday for inspiration and used up a few scraps in the process. - Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “Wish”
- Patterned paper – Graphic 45 “Totally Wicked”
- Star Punch – EK Success
- Die – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Twenty-Two”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I really like the bunnies featured in some of The Cat’s Pajamas stamps! This set is perfect for this card which I made for the Operation Write Home (OWH) Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown Challenge: Seeing Stars. I colored the image with Copic markers and popped up three punched stars in the lower left corner to balance out the composition. I’m trying to get going on my next box of OWH cards. My goal is to create 26 more cards for OWH before the end of the year! Eeek. So that means 25 after this one! Wish me luck. Thanks for visiting.
