- Stamps – Inkadinkado “Leaves” clear mini stamps set and Penny Black “Flourish Birthday”
- Pearl pen – Violet – Viva Decor
- Alcohol inks and Distress inks – Ranger
- Packing tape
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This was an incredibly well timed challenge! I was in the middle of playing with this packing tape technique when 365 Cards issued its Tape It Challenge! My stamping group was experimenting with this technique, which was featured in Craft Stamper magazine (October 2012 issue, pp. 38-39). We applied packing tape to an old dictionary page, ripping off small pieces and then taped the whole thing down to a piece of white cardstock. Then I applied Ranger alcohol inks to make a mottled, stone background. If you look very closely you can barely see the text mixed in with the background colors. The background is nice and shiny thanks to the tape. I then stamped the leaves in Distress ink on watercolor paper, spritzed with water and cut them out. I mounted the leaves on cardstock and popped them up with dimensional adhesive and then added the sentiment. I added the “pearls” in the top right corner with pearl pen. Thanks for visiting today.

Wow. It is sort of amazing that in a year and a half of having this blog, this is my 300th post! So that is 300 cards! Woo Hoo!
This challenge was to follow a specific recipe at 365 Cards for Day 210 for a Surprise Guest Spot. The recipe is:
4.25 x 5.5 card
1 Stamped image (digi or rubber)
5 buttons
3 different ribbons
1 patterned paper
Sentiment
The real challenge for me in following this recipe was the three different ribbons on one fairly small card. It is fun to follow a specific recipe and see what I can come up with. Thanks for stopping by!

- Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Periphery” collection
- Dimensional stickers – K&Company “Flora and Fauna Typewriter Keys”
- Stamp – from the Stampin’ Up “Sincere Salutations” set
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I made this card using the 365 Cards color challenge for Day 205. The challenge is to use these colors:

I decided to use the current sketch at Card Positioning Systems (CPS) for their challenge #284. The bird and egg typewriter keys steal the show on this card and tied into the color scheme well. Thanks for visiting.

I needed to make a fun card for my son’s birthday this year, which is on Tuesday. He likes squirrels, so this image seemed to be a good fit! I used Sketch #14 to celebrate Freshly Made Sketches’ first anniversary and challenge to use any sketch from the past year. I colored the squirrel with Copic markers and the acorns with Sakura gel sparkle pens. Happy Anniversary, Freshly Made Sketches and Happy Birthday, Trenton! Thanks for visiting.

- Stamp – Impression Obsession “Vertical Greetings”
- Image – from the Internet
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
I’m finally getting a card posted again. Too much work and running around, and not enough card-making time! I made this one for my son’s friend, who likes weasels! I’m sure that this is my first weasel card. The image worked well with this sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping (Sketch #202). It is a very simple card, made mostly of cardstock. I popped up the image and the sentiment. Just a fun card for a 13-year-old.

- Patterned papers – SEI “Bright Blossoms” pad
- Buttons – The Cats Pajamas “Great Outdoors Buttons”
- Die – Spellbinders Shapeabilities “Blossom Tags and Accents”
- Stamp – from The Cat’s Pajamas “Smells Like Cake” set
This card was totally CASED* from the Stamper’s Sampler cover (Jun/Jul/Aug 2012 issue). I made a couple of variations, but was definitely inspired by it! When I shared my copy of the magazine with one of Trenton’s teachers on our recent field trip, she admired it. I joked that her birthday was coming up, so I’d keep it in mind! Wonder if she’ll recognize it? The paper I used that is framing the images has some copper foil, which you can sort of see in the photo (upper left), making some of the flowers shine nicely. I just drew the stems and leaves below the buttons for the flowers with Ranger Distress markers. I cut the die cut in half to emulate the sun. Enjoy your day and please visit again soon.

Welcome! Just a quick “hello” to the OWH Bloghoppers today!
- Digital image – Bugaboo Digi Stamps
- Patterned papers – Scenic Route – “Surprise” (double-sided)
- Cardstock – Bazzill
We are all about sketches today for our hop. There are over 100 different OWH sketches to choose from and I used OWH Sketch #33 for this card. I colored the digital image with Copic markers and repeated the birthday hat motif from the penguin to the patterned paper in the background. Lots of polka dots for a festive birthday card! I popped up the image with dimensional adhesive for a little visual interest and there you have it!
Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of the hop and be inspired to make some cards using the great sketches available here! Try out a sketch or two (or more) and make some cards to ship out to some of our troops so that they can use them to send to their loved ones. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

This is a sparkly birthday card for my great niece. I am getting it to her late, but it has a bunny on it in time for Easter! I used the current card sketch at Card Patterns this week: Sketch #160. I’ve had the image colored for quite some time with Copic markers, but just didn’t find the right combination of papers and sketch for it. I like having the contrasting lights and darks with such busy paper. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder so that it stands out. And there is a lot of sparkle for a six year old! Thanks for visiting today and Happy Easter!

I used CPS Sketch #254 to make this card, which is for a friend and co-worker whose birthday falls on Leap Day. He was born in 1956, and is celebrating his 14th birthday this year! The inside sentiment says “May 14 candles leap onto your cake!” It was a fun card to make with all of the layers in the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.
