- Stamps – Stampendous “Scroll Heart” and Hero Arts “Live Life”
- Paper garland – Flutterbys by American Craft
- Distress Inks – Ranger
- Cardstock – BoBunny
This is a really simple take on Sketch #186 at Unscripted Sketches. I’ve been wanting to use this American Crafts heart garland on a card, and this sketch fit the bill. I created a background with Distress Inks in the pinks and browns to match the stamped images. I’m making Valentines and love cards for Operation Write Home now, so the troops overseas have some nice cards to send home. Thanks for visiting!

- Iris Folding Template – Hot off the Press
- Iridescent papers – Cotton Candy, Ice Blue, Hot Pink
- Cardstock – Bazzill and BoBunny
- Sentiment and frame stamps – Darcie’s “Banner Day”
- Corner punch – Fiskars
I used iridescent papers to create this iris fold card–It is very sparkly! I used the sketch over at Unscripted Sketches #185 for inspiration. The piggyback challenge for this sketch is to use dry embossing–and I chose embossed paper (Bazzill dots) for a nice texture. This will be a nice Valentine for Operation Write Home–to send over to the troops for them to send home. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamp – Stampendous “Fluffles Romance”
- Embossing folder – Sizzix “Bohemian Lace Set”
- Ribbon – KI Memories “Love Sashes”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I colored the stamped kitty pair with Copic markers and then cut them out (also known as fussy cutting!) to pop them up against the embossed background. I added a scrap of patterned paper from my stash and a strip of ribbon across to add more hearts. Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps had a tutorial and challenge this week for Fussy Cutting, so I created this card, testing out my cutting skills. ‘Tis the season for creating lots of valentines for the troops to mail home. Thanks for stopping by today.

This was a fun color combination–and what better way to use black and white (and yellow) than in creating a penguin?! Hurray! Now is the time to make Valentines for our troops overseas. I need to make a lot to send off to Operation Write Home (OWH) for our heroes to send home. This is a simple card I made in response to the
OWH Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown challenge, which was a call for Valentines. I played around with dry embossed hearts and a stamped heart, adding some Distress inks to the edges. Thanks for stopping by today.

- Stamp – Inky Antics “Italic Thank You”
- Die cut flower – made with Spellbinders Shapeabilities “Floral Doily Motifs”
- Embossing folder – Sizzix/Hero Arts “Chevrons & Flourishes set”
- Brad (flower center) – from My Mind’s Eye: Lush “Turquoise Decorative Brads” set
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
- Corner punch – Fiskars 4 in 1 “Spiral” embossing corner punch
I used Sketch #144 at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps for this thank you card. The color scheme is in response to 365 Cards Day 247 Color Challenge. This color scheme was a little bit of a stretch for me, but that’s why they call it a challenge! I repeated the swirl motif in the texture of the embossing folder and the BoBunny cardstock. The decorative corners also repeats a similar shape. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – Stamper’s Anonymous Tim Holtz collection – “Holly Bough Sprig”
- Sentiment stamp – Rubber Soul “Holiday Whimsical”
- Berries made with Glass Effect Gel “Carmine” by Viva Décor
- Copic markers E81 – Ivory, G43 – Pistachio

- Distress inks – Bundled sage and Tea dye
I was inspired to make this card this week during Day 3 of the Online Card Classes “Holiday Card Workshop” that I’m currently taking. The background, which is a dry embossing technique, was made with the different combination of supplies: Copic markers and Picket Fence Distress Stain applied to an embossed piece. I created the translucent holly berries with my Glass Effect Gel pen by Viva Décor. I blended some Distress inks around the edges of all the pieces to tie the colors together, attempting to match up my Copic colors with my Ranger Distress Ink colors! Thanks for visiting today.
