- Stamps – Fred B. Mullett “Maple 2” and A Muse Artstamps “Happy Anniversary”
- Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Little Black Dress: Shades of Grey” (both sides)
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Ribbon – American Crafts – Tangerine
- Kraft paper base
I used Ranger Distress Inks on the maple leaf image and then stamped it twice, overlapping it. I lightly spritzed the image with water for the watercolor effect and used watercolor paper so the damp image would hold up well and dry flat. I really like to use this technique on leaf images. We were challenged to make anniversary cards for our heroes to send home at the OWH Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown this week. I added the autumnal touch, since we are also trying to get some Fall cards made as well. Thanks for visiting.

- Stamp – Penny Black “Sweet Wishes”
- Patterned paper – Doodlebug Designs “Colorwheel”
- Die cut made from Spellbinders Nestabilities “Standard Circles Large”
- Banner made from Heidi Swapp “Color Magic: Banner Delights” and Colorbox Chalk inks
- Twine – Doodlebug Designs “Doodle Twine: Tangerine”
This sketch was one of many featured in the My Country/Mit Land Blog Hop at OWH Stars and Stamps. This particular design was beautifully illustrated at Dixie’s Blog, “What’s Next?” You can find the sketch there, too. I tried something new with the banner on this one. I used the new (to me, anyway) product from Heidi Swapp that is pre-cut and is all white (with a texture applied). I added color with Colorbox Chalk inks. It is pretty nice to be able to customize these depending on you color scheme. Thanks for visiting today!

- Stamps – Hampton Art “Windowpane Monarch” and A Muse Artstamps “”Happy Anniversary”
- Patterned paper – Memory Box “Waltzing Matilda”
- Cardstock – Bazzill and American Crafts
I made this card for the Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown Challenge for anniversary cards. I used an OWH bonus sketch from the My Country/Mit Land Blog Hop we just had this past weekend. This particular sketch is featured on OWH President Sandy Allnock’s “I Can’t Stop Embellishing” blog. The sketch is a little bit different when it comes to its construction, so I had to study it for a while before I built it! And I just had to use MORE butterflies, since I’m kind of on a roll with butterflies these days! Thanks for stopping by today!

- Stamps – Rubber Soul “Monkey Boy”; Hero Arts “Right At Home” (kite); and The Cat’s Pajamas “Oh Chute” (sentiment)
- Patterned papers – My Mind’s Eye “Stella Rose: Hazel” and BoBunny “Back to Backs: Brown Flourish”
This week at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps, the midweek throwdown challenge was to make a card featuring monkeys. I just happened to have a monkey stamp, so I decided to combine it with a kite from another set to make my own version of a flying monkey (hopefully not as creepy as those seen on the Wizard of Oz). The sentiment came from yet another set! Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – Memory Box “Dotty Butterfly” and Penny Black “Sweet Wishes”
- Patterned paper – Teresa Collins “Everyday Moments” collection
- Ribbon – American Crafts
For this card I used the current sketch at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps: Sketch #127. It lends itself well to showing off some pretty patterned papers in the larger block, but you can still have a smaller image as the focal point (and in this case, the sentiment). And I’ve slipped another butterfly in! Have a great day and I’ll see you soon.

- Stamps:
- Balloon and double clouds – Verve Stamps “Up Up & Away”
- Banner – Penny Black “Sweet Wishes”
- Single cloud, hearts and sentiment – Hero Arts “Right at Home”
- Patterned papers – BoBunny Back to Backs (powder blue) and DCWV “Nana’s Nursery: Baby Boy” collection (yellow)
- Baker’s twine – Doodlebug Design, Inc.
This was a fun card to make, sort of like putting a puzzle together. I used the Case Study Challenge #96 card for inspiration and went from there, using a hot air balloon instead of an airplane. I used three different stamp sets from three different companies, popped some of the elements up and kept some flat to the card just to help portray the “flight” involved here! And the saying is perfect for an Operation Write Home card (since it is from one of Hero Arts’ OWH sets), so it will definitely go in my box to the troops. I also continued on with the OWH midweek throwdown challenge colors of yellow and blue, since it fit the design so perfectly! Have a pleasant day!

- Stamp – Stampington & Co. “Scripted Butterfly” and Hero Arts “Everyday Sayings”
- Patterned paper – Teresa Collins “Everyday Moments: Blue Scroll”
- Border Punch – Martha Stewart “Woodland Branch”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This is one of my favorite stamps–and I’ve had it for years! This is the first time I have colored it with Copic markers and I liked the way they allow me to add some subtile shading in the broad areas of color in the background. I do like the yellow and blue combination and using them was the Midweek Throwdown Challenge at OWH Stars and Stamps this week. Thanks for checking-in today and I’ll see you again, most likely with more butterflies!

- Stamps – Crafty Individuals (floral) and Hero Arts “Manuscript Background”
- Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Periphery Collection: Cork”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I made this card using the current sketch at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps blog, which is Sketch #126. The stamped foreground image is actually just one half of the actual image. I cut it in half to fit the card better! The background of the dark brown floral image includes a script, but I also stamped the Hero Arts manuscript background stamp in a lighter brown ink for some added interest. Thanks for visiting here today.

- Stamp – from Stampin’ Up “Sincere Salutations” set
- Patterned paper – from SEI “Bright Blossom” collection
- Border punch – EK Success “Diamond Lace” edger
- Cardstock – DCWV Solid Glitter Yellow and Bazzill Basics
I’m going through a butterfly phase here! This isn’t the last one either–another butterfly card is in the works! I really liked this sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping: Sketch #194. I enjoyed looking at the sketch and putting the pieces together to fit it. This card is in the mail to a magician friend who is under the weather. We hope it cheers Tom up. Thanks for stopping by today.
