- Flower stamp – Hero Arts “Outline Flowers”
- Sentiment stamp – Hero Arts “Whimsical Happy Birthday”
- Ranger Distress Markers
- Crystal Stickers – Mark Richards Enterprises – Clear Round 2mm
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Kraft card base – Paper Accents
- Stampendous Detail White embossing powder
I made this card based on a lesson in the Clean and Simple 2 class I’m taking. I stamped the background in VersaMark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I chose a few flowers to color with Distress Markers. I also heat embossed the sentiment and popped it up on a banner at the top of the card. I added a little bling for the flower centers of the smaller flowers and that’s it! This will be nice to add to my Operation Write Home box. This week’s OWH Midweek Throwdown is for birthday cards, since there is a little shortage of birthday cards to send over to the troops. Thanks for stopping by today.

- Background stamp – Penny Black “Damask”
- Butterfly stamp and die – Hampton Art Stamps and Spellbinders “Butterflies”
- Pearls – Queen and Company and Kaiser Craft
- Patterned paper – SEI “Field Notes”
- Inks – Ranger Adirondak Lights “Cloudy Blue” and Distress Inks and markers in Peeled Paint, Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Mulled Lavendar, and Dusty Concord
I was inspired to create this card based on the Clean and Simple 2 class I’m currently taking on Online Card Classes. The instructor for this technique was Shari Carroll. I created the background using shipping labels stamped with my background stamp, cut-up, and then off-set. I colored the butterfly stamped image with Distress markers and edged with Distress ink. More Distress ink was added to the background with the pearls. This was a very fun technique to try and the Penny Black stamp is really beautiful. Thanks for stopping by.

- Sentiment stamp – from Hero Arts “Live Life” set
- Border stamp – Lawn Fawn “Belinda’s Borders”
- Stencil – Studio Calico “Chevron” Huey’s Mask
This is the first card I made for the Clean and Simple 2 class offered at Online Card Classes. I misted the cardstock with a homemade ink solution I made with Distress re-inkers. I decided to accent the card with a border that repeated the chevron design of the stencil. I heat embossed the border with white embossing powder. I drew a dashed line across the bottom of the top portion. The top and bottom chevron portions are popped up with dimensional adhesive. This was a very fun, clean and simple card to make! I’ve taken a number of classes from Online Card Classes and I would highly recommend them. They provide a ton of inspiration, techniques and instruction. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – Stamper’s Anonymous Tim Holtz collection – “Holly Bough Sprig”
- Sentiment stamp – Rubber Soul “Holiday Whimsical”
- Berries made with Glass Effect Gel “Carmine” by Viva Décor
- Copic markers E81 – Ivory, G43 – Pistachio

- Distress inks – Bundled sage and Tea dye
I was inspired to make this card this week during Day 3 of the Online Card Classes “Holiday Card Workshop” that I’m currently taking. The background, which is a dry embossing technique, was made with the different combination of supplies: Copic markers and Picket Fence Distress Stain applied to an embossed piece. I created the translucent holly berries with my Glass Effect Gel pen by Viva Décor. I blended some Distress inks around the edges of all the pieces to tie the colors together, attempting to match up my Copic colors with my Ranger Distress Ink colors! Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – all from Hero Arts OWH set, “Right at Home”
- Patterned cardstock – BoBunny
- Cardstock – WorldWin and Bazzill
- Embossing powders – Detail white and black – Stampendous
I made this card with inspiration from the Online Card Classes “Stretch You Stamps” class I’m taking. The lesson for Lesson 9 is to use outline stamps, and in this case I embossed various stamped images and put them together. I used the Operation Write Home stamp set from Hero Arts for all of the images. I used complimentary colors (red and green) for some of the main parts of the card, which was our Midweek Throwdown Challenge at OWH Stars and Stamps this week. This is a perfect card for a hero to send home. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – Darcie’s “Mini Nautilus Background” and Hero Arts “Everyday Sayings”
- Dies – Spellbinders “Donna Salazar Rose Creations”
- Cardstock – BoBunny, Bazzill and WorldWin
- Metal stickers – Mark Richards silver nailheads (3mm)
This was a card that I made after the first lessons on Day 1 of Online Classes “Stretch Your Stamps” class. Our first day’s lessons featured background stamps and a variety of things one can do with them. I tried a couple of different ideas, but only managed to finish this card so far. And I pretty much used my background stamp to make the background! I tried double stamping it, but didn’t like the way it turned out with this pattern. I simply inked the edges with ColorBox Chalk ink to add some visual interest. It has been a great class so far! Thanks for visiting.
