OWH – Masculine Card Challenge

  • Stamps – My Favorite Things “Flopsey Fishing” (image and sentiment)
  • Die cuts – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Deckled Rectangles Large” and “Labels Seventeen”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

This is a simple card that I dressed up by coloring the image with Copic markers and added some faux stitching around the edges. Then I popped up the image for some dimension. I made this for Operation Write Home as part of the current Masculine Card Challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

CPS Sketch 239

  • Patterned paper – Cosmo Cricket “Remnant” (both sides)
  • Stamp – Rubber Soul “Happy Birthday”
  • Die Cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Fancy Tags Two”
  • Rose – Prima Flowers
  • Ribbon

I made this rosy birthday card using the latest sketch at Card Positioning System (CPS): Sketch 239. Thanks for visiting.

Card Patterns Sketch #136

  • Bat image – Cosmo Cricket “Haunted” cardstock stickers
  • Candy accents – K&Company Spooktacular collection
  • Patterned papers – Rusty Pickle “Addams Family: Wednesday” and spiderweb paper from my stash (unknown)
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Cuttlebug embossing folder – “Dots”
  • Raffia

Time to make Halloween cards! I used the Card Patterns Sketch #136 for this one. I was able to use a lot of bits and pieces, since I have so many for Halloween, to paper piece this card. Thanks for the visit and I’ll see you soon.

Operation Write Home – Christmas Card Challenge

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “Candyland Christmas”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Jovial: Pomegranate” (red) and Echo Park Paper Company “Garland” (green)
  • Cardstock – WorldWin

I made this card for the Operation Write Home Christmas Card Challenge. I colored the penguins with Copic markers and inked the edges of the green and red pieces with Charcoal ColorBox Chalk ink. Thanks for stopping by.

Card Patterns Sketch #135

  • Patterned Paper – Authentique “Diffused”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Border Punch – EK Success
  • Stamp – Kodomo, Inc. – “Best Wishes”
  • Musical Note Brads – Accent Depot
  • Die cuts – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Deckled Rectangles Large” and “Standard Circles Large”

I used the Card Patterns Sketch #135 to make this card. It is a birthday card for Trenton’s music teacher, Mr. Friesen. It was fun to use the musical note brads on this one. Thanks for the visit!

CPS Sketch #238

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “TuTu Much” clear set
  • Patterned papers – Paper Salon “Sorbet: Tangerine” and BoBunny “Turquoise Flourish”
  • Die cut – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Labels Seventeen”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

I made this card using the current sketch at Card Positioning System: CPS Sketch #238. I used the great bunny set from The Cat’s Pajamas (and they aren’t even penguins!). The image is colored with Copic markers. Thanks for your visit and I’ll see you soon.

Operation Write Home – Sketch #88

  • Stamps – Inkadinkado “Borders Mini” set (pumpkin border) and Memory Box “Fall Combo” (sentiment)
  • Patterned papers – American Crafts “Autumn Hollow” and “Autumn Harvest”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

I made this Fall card using the OWH Sketch #88. This is a great sketch for creating cards quickly and featuring matching patterned papers. I added the sentiment on a separate little piece so I could feature the pumpkin stamp in the center. Thanks for visiting.

OWH – World Cardmaking Day Bloghop

Welcome and Happy World Cardmaking Day! I hope you’ve been enjoying the bloghop so far, if you are participating. There are lots of cards to see! I’ve made a snowy, penguin Christmas card for your viewing pleasure today. The stamped image is colored with Copic markers in some pretty untraditional Christmas colors. Kind of fun and I felt compelled to use some of my penguin stamps! If you’d like to see more snow cards, visit my previous posts from this week (scroll down). I’ve kind of been on a roll!

  • Stamps – Art Impressions “Sledding Penguins” and The Cat’s Pajamas “Penguin Christmas” (sentiment)
  • Patterned paper – My Mind’s Eye “Colorful Christmas Snowflake Stripes” (both sides of single sheet)
  • Snowflake embellishments – Dress It Up “Itty Bitty Snowflakes”
  • Ribbon – American Crafts

I used a Card Positioning Systems sketch from the book, Cardmaker’s Sketchbook: Ideas to Inspire Creative Card Design. Thanks for stopping by, and please hop on to the numerous other blogs by clicking on the Blog Hop graphic at the top of this post.

Clean & Simple Sketch #159

  • Epoxy Eyelet Charms – Making Memories “Snowflakes”
  • Stamp – Inkadinkado “Silhouettes: Holiday Greetings”
  • Patterned paper – BoBunny “Snowy Serenade Sparkles”
  • Ribbon – May Arts
  • Embossing Folder – Cuttlebug “Snowflakes”

I used the current sketch: Sketch 159 at Clean and Simple Stamping to design this card. I used the snowflake charms with the textured paper created with the embossing folder. The real experiment was stamping directly on the ribbon. The ink bled a little bit, but it wasn’t an entirely failed science experiment! I like the simplicity of the design, yet there is a lot going on with all of the snowflake elements. Thanks for visiting.

Card Patterns Sketch #134

  • Stamps – Studio G “Snowflakes” and The Cat’s Pajamas “Penguin Christmas” (snow days)
  • Patterned papers – BoBunny Back to Backs “Dots” papers
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Cuttlebug embossing folder – “Textile”
  • Border punch – EK Success “Open Scallop”
  • Pearls – KaiserCraft
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Classic Scallop Rectangles”

This card was made based on the Card Patterns Sketch #134, the current sketch there. I’m going through a little snow phase this week (more to come), so forgive me! It is a little early, but since many of my cards go to the troops via Operation Write Home, I have to ship them off pretty early. Thanks for the visit.
