- Stamps – Technique Tuesday “Kickin’ It” and See D’s “Sports” sets
- Patterned papers – Echo Park Paper “For the Record 2″ 6 X 6” pad
- Cardstock – WorldWin
This is a fun kid’s card for a soccer player. The sketch is the OWH Sketch #136, the current one at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps. This also fulfills the Day 189 Challenge at 365 Cards, which is to make a “sporty” card. I edged the soccer balls and sentiment with lime green chalk ink to tie those pieces together and popped them up with dimensional adhesive. Thanks for the visit!

- Patterned paper – American Crafts – “Campy Trails” collection (animals and background pattern)
- Border punch – EK Success “Argyle”
- Corner punch – Marvy Uchida
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
For the 365 Cards Color Combo Challenge for Day 184, we were to use these colors:

I chose images from some fun American Crafts “campy” papers I’ve had for a while. The colors fit perfectly and it will make a fun card for a kid in my Operation Write Home box. I trimmed out the animals and popped them up with little fanfare. They seem to speak for themselves! Enjoy your day!

- Stamp – Memory Box “2 Squirrels”
- Paper – Basic Grey “Hello Luscious: Honeyed”
- Die cuts – made with Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Nine”
- Border punch – Fiskars
- Patterned cardstock – BoBunny “Flourish” and “Journal”
This challenge was all about something I had to have! It was at 365 Cards for Day 181: Gotta Have it this week. When I read the challenge the first time, I immediately thought of cardmaking supplies! Every couple of month the local stamping store has an open house where the owner features new products and fun items. I often have those “gotta have it” moments then–and I do seem to have a thing for squirrels! I figure there are worse vices, right? Anyway, when I saw the stamp with these squirrels from Memory Box, I said “I’ve got to have it!” The stamp has each squirrel on different sides of the wood mount, so you can choose to use one or both, in any configuration. Flexibility in squirrel stamping–always important! I colored them with Copic markers and layered them with some favorite papers, adding some faux stitching dots around the image. Simple and fun. Thanks for the visit today!

- Butterfly Stamps – Hero Arts “Sweet Butterflies”
- Sentiment Stamp – Stampin’ Up “Sincere Salutations”
- Corner punch – Kreaxions
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I used the 365 Cards Sketch for Day 179 for inspiration for this card. It is really simple, with the set of four butterflies colored with gel pens to give them some sparkle. I punched them with a circle punch and then punched another circle for each in navy blue cardstock and popped them up with dimensional adhesive. This gave them a little drop shadow. Punched the top corners and made a banner for the sentiment and that’s it! Enjoy your weekend and thanks for visiting today!

- Stamp – Inkadinkado “Leaves” clear mini set
- Textured cardstock – Bazzill Two Scoops “Orange Sorbet”
- Patterned paper – 7Gypsies “Antiquaries Postale Collection: Parcel” and Echo Park Paper – “Dots & Stripes”
- Rhinestones – from Queen and Company “Halloween” Rhinestone Trios
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I combined a couple of challenges to make this card. I stamped this leaf on textured paper, which can be kind of tricky if you have much detail in your stamp. Stamping on texture is the Day 182 challenge at 365 Cards. I wanted to put together a card that could be considered masculine, and general in theme, for Operation Write Home. All occasion cards are always needed and this one could be used for a variety of reasons. The OWH Midweek Throwdown this week is to make “masculine” cards, so hopefully the little bit of bling is downplayed enough! Thanks for stopping by!

- Digital image – Tiffany Doodles
- Stamp – Hero Arts
- Patterned paper – BoBunny “Sun Kissed Stripe”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Sandpaper
I made this card with the first image in this round of the Crafter’s Digital Art Center’s Progressive Challenge. The digital “stamp” was created by Tiffany Doodles, and I colored it with Copic markers and added some sandpaper for the sand. Just a fun card that will be shipped off to OWH so that a soldier can send a bright “hello” to someone. Thanks for visiting.

- Die Cuts – Made with Memory Box “Cherry Blossom” die set and Just Rite Custom Dies (Spellbinders) “Nested Oval Medallion Labels”
- Embossing folder – Stampin’ Up “Textured Impressions Stripes”
- Border Punch – Stampin’ Up Scallop Edge
- Patterned paper – Echo Park Paper “Dots & Stripes” 6 X 6″ pad
- Ribbon – May Arts
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This card features stripes on both the paper and the embossing folder. The Day 180 challenge at 365 Cards is to create a card with stripes. The color combination is not one that I would have normally chosen, but it is bright, cheery, and what I had in my on-the-road stash. I used some new dies for this card. The Memory Box floral set has the flower and two centers to build flowers in a variety of colors. The label die is also new to me and I look forward to using a Just Rite stamp set that fits in this die set as well. Too much fun! I’m trying to make quite a few general cards for OWH, so they can be used for any occasion, so this will be handy for that. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamps – Lawn Fawn, “Flying By”
- Patterned papers – My Mind’s Eye “Reunion”
- Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
- Cardstock trim – Bazzill “Raven Half the Edge”
- Twine
I went to Unscripted Sketches for inspiration for this card. This is Unscripted Sketches Sketch #172 featuring the Lawn Fawn “Flying By” paper airplane stamp set, which is very fun. I stamped the airplanes on patterned papers and cut them out and mounted them with dimensional adhesive on the card front, also popping up the sentiment. I used the sketch and the Piggyback color challenge also featured for this week’s challenge. Enjoy your day and please stop by again soon.

- Stamp – Hero Arts “Woodland Oak Leaves”
- Border Punch – E K Success “Fleur de Lis”
- Cardstock – Bob Bunny Back to Backs
I made this card for the current
Midweek Throwdown Challenge at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps. The challenge was to use Kraft cardstock and add a couple of colors to jazz it up. I have color in my image and the green dotted card base. I used Ranger Distress Inks for the image and spritzed it with water to give it a watercolor effect. I like that look with leaves. Just a simple note card for a hero to send home for any occasion. Thanks for visiting today.

- Stamp – Memory Box “Whisper Print Daisy”
- Patterned papers – My Mind’s Eye “29th Street Market Carefree Graceful” collection
- Watercolor paper
- Ranger/Tim Holtz Distress Markers
I used the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Sketch #132 for this card. The dimensions worked well for this stamp, which I purchased recently. I love Memory Box stamps and die cuts. They are a Seattle company and I really like supporting companies from the Northwest. Their products are very high quality. So I used Distress Markers to color the stamp and then spritzed it with water for the watercolor effect. I edged all of the cut paper pieces with Color Box Chalk Ink to tie everything together. Thanks for visiting!
