This Valentine was made for the CPS 5th Anniversary celebration: Challenge 13. I used the sketch (Sketch 121) as a point of departure. This card has lots of polka dots and texture. Thanks for visiting today!

Newspaper Heart… For a Cat?

  • Featured Stamp – “Newspaper Heart” by Hero Arts
  • Patterned cardstock – BoBunny (Violet Dot and Blush Dot)
  • Sentiment stamp – “Be My V” by Penny Black
  • Crystal stickers – Mark Richards Enterprise, Inc.
  • Solid cardstock – Bazzill and WorldWin
  • Ribbon – May Arts

I made this card at the request of Lisa, the owner of Stampin’ Cat Studio. It will be one of many cards featured in the store showcasing new products at the open house there (called “What’s New, Pussycat?”). I used white embossing powder on white cardstock. I rubbed four different colors of Colorbox Chalk Ink over the image, blending the colors together. Then I trimmed it and mounted it on cardstock, popping it up with dimensional adhesive over a color-blocked background. Super simple, but lots of texture. And the star of our show is none other than Moonlight! I think this may be her debut here! Thanks for stopping by.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #9

  • Die cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Two”
  • Cardstock – BoBunny and Bazzill
  • Ribbon – Offray “Innercircle Green”
  • Embellishment – K&Company “Glad Tidings Words”

I made this card based on the December Sketch at Cardmaking Friends, using one of the Crafter’s Digital Art Center #9 images. This image is by Digistamps 4 Joy.

Merry Penguin Christmas!

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas set N-7475
  • Die cuts – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Lacey Circles” and “Standard Circles Large”
  • Border punch – Martha Stewart
  • Embossing Folder – from the Cuttlebug “Christmas Set”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill and BoBunny
  • Ribbon – JoAnn

It has been a long time since I’ve posted with all of the holiday preparations and all! This is one of the cards I made to send from our family. Unfortunately I didn’t make as many as I would have liked to get in the mail. I do love all of the penguins that The Cat’s Pajamas has in their sets! These guys are doing the “See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil” thing! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

OWH – Happy Hour Skip Card CASE

  • Stamps –
  •       Large heart – Inkadinkado
  •       Small heart – My Sentiments Exactly
  •       Sentiment – A Muse Artstamps
  • Die Cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Eyelet Circles” (two sizes) and “Labels Seventeen” for the card base
  • Cardstock – Bazzill Basics and BoBunny Back-to-Back Dots
  • Ranger Distress Ink in Fired Brick for distressing at the edges

I made this card after visiting the Operation Write Home Happy Hour Blog Skip that showcased the Hero Arts newly released stamps. There was lots of inspiration as I hopped through the different blogs. I was particularly intrigued by the shape of card base of the card created by Julie at “Handmade by Julie.” Her card inspired me to make this Valentine to ship off someone overseas so that they can send it home to a loved one. Thanks for stopping by!

Card Positioning Systems Sketch #248

  • Die cuts – Spellbinders Poseabilities “Snowflake Wonder”
  • Patterned papers – BoBunny St. Nick Sugar Plum (green polka dot) and Heidi Grace Shimmer Flocked paper “Jolly & Bright” (words)
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Brads – Recollections Round Brads

This is my interpretation of the current CPS Sketch #248. The snowflake die cuts are both cut and embossed, which provides a nice texture as does the flocked “fuzzy” paper in the background. Thanks for visiting.

Hero Arts Tree

  • Stamps – Hero Arts “Swirl Christmas” set
  • Star on top – Recollections adhesive glitter shapes
  • Metal stickers – Mark Richards Cranberry metal
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Four”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill Basics and B0Bunny Clover Dots
  • Patterned paper – Melissa Frances “Kisses Under the Holly”

This is a simple card that shows off the swirly tree. That’s it! Thanks for the visit!

Holiday Snowflakes

  • Stamps – Stampers anonymous Tim Holtz “Grunge Flakes” and Printworks “Happy Holidays”
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Fancy Tags Two”
  • Snowflake embellishments – Creative Impressions “Large Shimmer Snowflakes”
  • Brad – Making Memories “Black and White Shimmer Brads”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

I used Ranger Distress inks for the background of this card, both for stamping the snowflakes and for coloring the cardstock/distressing the edges. It is always nice to get good and inky while making holiday cards! Thanks for stopping by.

Fir Bough Christmas

  • Stamp – Penny Black “Christmas Text”
  • Border punch – Fiskars “Upper Crest”
  • Corner punch – EK Success
  • Patterned papers – BoBunny “Clover Dot” (left) and Basic Grey “Jovial: Crushed Velvet” (right)

Christmas Tree

  • Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Jovial: Flannel Pajamas”
  • Embossing folder – Cuttlebug “Christmas set”
  • Sentiment sticker – Starform Stickers
