This is one of my first Christmas cards for Operation Write Home. We need to ship our Christmas cards early in order for our overseas heroes to send cards home for their families. This is a fun one with lots of color and Santa, so I’m hoping it is cheery for both the sender and the recipient! I used the sketch #141 at OWH Stars and Stamps and stamps from The Cats Pajamas. I colored the images with Copic markers. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to the 2012 World Cardmaking Day blog hop at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps! We are sharing Winter and Winter holiday cards featuring an OWH sketch at every stop.
I used OWH Sketch #123 for this card, which is one of my favorites! This card has a vintage look with an old fashioned Santa. Enjoy yourself this weekend hopping from blog-to-blog for inspiration and maybe a chance for some goodies. Speaking of which, I will be randomly drawing the name of one lucky person who leaves a comment this weekend. Because I do love the dots, I will be sending a 6 X 6″ BoBunny Double Dot Designs Bold and Bright paper pad! Here’s what it looks like:
Please leave a comment for a chance to win this paper pad. Thanks for visiting today and enjoy the hop! Click on the blog hop image below to get back to the master list o’ links for the blog hop.

I used Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps sketch #138 for this card. It features a polar bear and snowflake from the Lawn Fawn “Critters in the Snow” clear stamp set. I colored the bear with Copic markers and layered the stamped elements with cardstock, popping up the polar bear. This is a very simple card that shows off the cute little bear. This will be a nice Christmas card to ship to OWH. It may be my first Christmas card of the season! Thanks for visiting today.

It has been a long time since I’ve posted with all of the holiday preparations and all! This is one of the cards I made to send from our family. Unfortunately I didn’t make as many as I would have liked to get in the mail. I do love all of the penguins that The Cat’s Pajamas has in their sets! These guys are doing the “See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil” thing! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

- Die cuts – Spellbinders Poseabilities “Snowflake Wonder”
- Patterned papers – BoBunny St. Nick Sugar Plum (green polka dot) and Heidi Grace Shimmer Flocked paper “Jolly & Bright” (words)
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Brads – Recollections Round Brads
This is my interpretation of the current CPS Sketch #248. The snowflake die cuts are both cut and embossed, which provides a nice texture as does the flocked “fuzzy” paper in the background. Thanks for visiting.
