  • Patterned paper – 3Bugs in a Rug “Best Time of the Year” from the Deck the Halls collection.

This was another card I wanted to finish to send off to Operation Write Home for the Christmas deadline coming up. I stamped Fluffles and colored it with Copic markers. Thanks for stopping by.

OWH Sketch #91

  • Patterned papers – Holiday Greetings Collection (manufacturer unclear)
  • Stamp – Inkadinkado “Penguin Pandemonium” clear set
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Twenty”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill Bling

I made this card for Operation Write Home, using the OWH Sketch #91. I am trying to finish up my Christmas cards to meet the October 31st deadline, so that the OWH shippers can send lots of cards off to the troops. Thanks for the visit!

Card Patterns Sketch #136

  • Bat image – Cosmo Cricket “Haunted” cardstock stickers
  • Candy accents – K&Company Spooktacular collection
  • Patterned papers – Rusty Pickle “Addams Family: Wednesday” and spiderweb paper from my stash (unknown)
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Cuttlebug embossing folder – “Dots”
  • Raffia

Time to make Halloween cards! I used the Card Patterns Sketch #136 for this one. I was able to use a lot of bits and pieces, since I have so many for Halloween, to paper piece this card. Thanks for the visit and I’ll see you soon.

Operation Write Home – Christmas Card Challenge

  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Jovial: Pomegranate” (red) and Echo Park Paper Company “Garland” (green)

I made this card for the Operation Write Home Christmas Card Challenge. I colored the penguins with Copic markers and inked the edges of the green and red pieces with Charcoal ColorBox Chalk ink. Thanks for stopping by.

OWH – World Cardmaking Day Bloghop

Welcome and Happy World Cardmaking Day! I hope you’ve been enjoying the bloghop so far, if you are participating. There are lots of cards to see! I’ve made a snowy, penguin Christmas card for your viewing pleasure today. The stamped image is colored with Copic markers in some pretty untraditional Christmas colors. Kind of fun and I felt compelled to use some of my penguin stamps! If you’d like to see more snow cards, visit my previous posts from this week (scroll down). I’ve kind of been on a roll!

  • Stamps – Art Impressions “Sledding Penguins” and The Cat’s Pajamas “Penguin Christmas” (sentiment)
  • Patterned paper – My Mind’s Eye “Colorful Christmas Snowflake Stripes” (both sides of single sheet)
  • Snowflake embellishments – Dress It Up “Itty Bitty Snowflakes”
  • Ribbon – American Crafts

I used a Card Positioning Systems sketch from the book, Cardmaker’s Sketchbook: Ideas to Inspire Creative Card Design. Thanks for stopping by, and please hop on to the numerous other blogs by clicking on the Blog Hop graphic at the top of this post.

Clean & Simple Sketch #159

  • Epoxy Eyelet Charms – Making Memories “Snowflakes”
  • Stamp – Inkadinkado “Silhouettes: Holiday Greetings”
  • Patterned paper – BoBunny “Snowy Serenade Sparkles”
  • Ribbon – May Arts
  • Embossing Folder – Cuttlebug “Snowflakes”

I used the current sketch: Sketch 159 at Clean and Simple Stamping to design this card. I used the snowflake charms with the textured paper created with the embossing folder. The real experiment was stamping directly on the ribbon. The ink bled a little bit, but it wasn’t an entirely failed science experiment! I like the simplicity of the design, yet there is a lot going on with all of the snowflake elements. Thanks for visiting.

Card Patterns Sketch #134

  • Stamps – Studio G “Snowflakes” and The Cat’s Pajamas “Penguin Christmas” (snow days)
  • Patterned papers – BoBunny Back to Backs “Dots” papers
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Cuttlebug embossing folder – “Textile”
  • Border punch – EK Success “Open Scallop”
  • Pearls – KaiserCraft
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Classic Scallop Rectangles”

This card was made based on the Card Patterns Sketch #134, the current sketch there. I’m going through a little snow phase this week (more to come), so forgive me! It is a little early, but since many of my cards go to the troops via Operation Write Home, I have to ship them off pretty early. Thanks for the visit.

OWH – May Arts Challenge – Christmas Card

  • Stamp – Hero Arts “Joy to All” set
  • Patterned papers – Graphics 45 “The Holly and the Ivy” and BoBunny “Wine Dots”
  • Die Cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Fancy Tags Two”
  • Ribbon – May Arts pleated ribbon (yum!)
  • Cardstock – WorldWin

This was created for a fun challenge to create a holiday card using ribbon for a soldier to send home, sponsored by May Arts on Operation Write Home’s Stars and Stamps site! I have this beautiful May Arts pleated ribbon that I really like to use on Christmas cards. I used a Card Positioning Systems sketch for inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

OWH – Non-traditional Christmas colors

  • Stamp – Inkadinkado “Silhouettes”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Green at Heart” and “Eskimo Kisses” collections
  • Cardstock and decorative cardstock strip – Bazzill
  • Sticker – Stampendous “Class A Peal Holidays Chainletter”

This card is for another of the OWH Birthday Bash challenges: non-traditional Christmas colors. The purple background is pretty non-traditional! It was kind of fun to design something a little “out there” for this one. Sending out a special “thank you” to Barb at Paper Therapy Ponderings for hosting this challenge! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Mojo Monday Sketch #204 Challenge

  • Stamps – Tree and Season’s Greetings from Inkadinkado Holiday Clear Set: “Silhouettes”
  • Die cut – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Lacey Circles”
  • Corner punch – EK Success “Photo Corner Curved”
  • Cuttlebug Embossing Folder – “Victoria”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Eskimo Kisses” collection
  • Cardstock – BoBunny dots and Bazzill Basics
  • Pearls – KaiserCraft
  • Pleated satin ribbon – May Arts

This Christmas card was made using the current Mojo Monday sketch: #204. These papers and ribbon all go together nicely (despite the way the scan turned out!). This is a fun sketch. Thanks for visiting.
