I learned how to make this Origami tree on Operation Write Home a couple of months ago. I used Sketch #169 at Clean & Simple Stamping. This is a pretty sparkly card between the irredescent paper and the glittery star on top of the tree. Thanks for your visit.

This stamp set couldn’t have been more perfect for my needs this week. I just happened to spot it on the Cat’s Pajamas’ site last week and quickly ordered it, knowing that I planned to make cards to present to Trenton’s magic mentors at their magic show tonight. Not a lot of time, but I got the set very quickly (Thank you!) and went about making four of these cards for the mentors. I was inspired by the current Clean & Simple sketch #167 for the card design. I colored and cut out the bunny image and popped it up, along with the sentiment banner, for some dimension. It was fun to layer this card with the different patterns and textures. I used the current sketch: Sketch 159 at Clean and Simple Stamping to design this card. I used the snowflake charms with the textured paper created with the embossing folder. The real experiment was stamping directly on the ribbon. The ink bled a little bit, but it wasn’t an entirely failed science experiment! I like the simplicity of the design, yet there is a lot going on with all of the snowflake elements. Thanks for visiting.

This card was inspired by the current sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping – Fall to Layout #152. There is very little stamping involved, just the birthday stamp and inking the edges. I also used the chalk ink to add color to the butterfly, using the die as a stencil. Thanks for visiting.

I made this card using the Clean and Simple Sketch #149, which is this week’s sketch there. I really like this sketch. The verticle and horizontal bands of pattern are really nice together, yet it is a simple design. The browns and pale greens are sort of soothing, almost Fall colors. Thanks for visiting.
