I do like to work with challenges that provide a recipe to work from! This week’s Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown challenge was to use the following recipe:
- Two patterned papers
- One embossing folder
- One border punch
- Ribbon or twine
As is typical for me, it is well past mid-week–but I’m still up for the challenge! The design is simple and linear, showing off the different textures and patterns across the card. This will be a nice birthday card for a hero to send home. Thanks for visiting!

Very pretty card. I especially love your choice of papers, with coordinating colors and varying scales. Very warm and cozy feeling. Thanks for the inspiration.
