Crafty Individuals’ Flutterbies

  • Stamp – Crafty Individuals “Butterflies Collage Quad”
  • Patterned paper – KaiserCraft “Hunt and Gather” 6-1/2″ paper pad
  • Die cut – Memory Box “Amira Flouish”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Tissue tape – Tim Holtz “Nostalgia”

This is a fun card I made using elements that went together visually and that I really like. So this butterfly stamp features not only the insects themselves, but flourishes, text, postmarks and music. I chose the die cut since it emulates a butterfly and is a flourish also. And the Tim Holtz tissue tape just tied in with the rest. Thanks for checking in here!

OWH – Sketch Challenge #84

  • Stamp – Memory Box “Dashing Squirrel”
  • Patterned cardstock – BoBunny “Back to Back” Dots and Flourishes
  • Corner punch – Fiskar’s “Budding Flower”
  • Button – Jesse James Beads “Dress it up”
  • Twine

I used the OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch #84 for this card. I colored the squirrel with Copic markers. The squirrel stamp is made by Memory Box, a fantastic company from Seattle. I love their stamps and their new die cuts.  Thanks for visiting!

CPS Sketch #233

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “Little Sprinkle,” Judikins “Flourish,” and sentiment stamp from Hero Arts’ “Live Life” set
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey Indie Bloom 6″ X 6″ collection
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

We’re back from camping so I can post some of the cards that I made this past week.  No Internet connection (or electricity!) there! I think I managed to keep most of the dust off of the cards and the squirrels were fairly scarce, so I don’t think there are an abundance of wildlife prints!

This card was inspired by Sketch #233 at Card Positioning Systems (CPS).

CPS Sketch #232 with CDAC Digital Art

  • Digital Art – Crafter’s Digital Art Center (CDAC) by Sandi Hugget of Sandi’s Samples
  • Patterned paper – BoBunny “Garden Girl Vines”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill and WorldWin
  • Corner rounder – Creative Memories

This is an interpretation of the current CPS sketch, #232. I changed the orientation of the sketch as it was presented to better feature the artwork. I colored the artwork with Copic Markers. The artwork is from Crafter’s Digital Art Center (CDAC), created by Sandi’s Samples. I just bought the Bo Bunny paper today at Stampin’ Cat and was pretty excited to use it with this!  Thanks for visiting today.

Mojo Monday Sketch #204 Challenge

  • Stamps – Tree and Season’s Greetings from Inkadinkado Holiday Clear Set: “Silhouettes”
  • Die cut – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Lacey Circles”
  • Corner punch – EK Success “Photo Corner Curved”
  • Cuttlebug Embossing Folder – “Victoria”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Eskimo Kisses” collection
  • Cardstock – BoBunny dots and Bazzill Basics
  • Pearls – KaiserCraft
  • Pleated satin ribbon – May Arts

This Christmas card was made using the current Mojo Monday sketch: #204. These papers and ribbon all go together nicely (despite the way the scan turned out!). This is a fun sketch. Thanks for visiting.

OWH – Thinking of You Challenge

  • Stamp – Kodomo, Inc., “Thinking of You”
  • Corner Punch – Fiskars “Budding Flower”
  • Die Cuts – Spellbinder’s Shapeabilities “Fancy Tags Two,” and Nestabilities “Standard Circles Large”
  • Patterned paper – Colorbok “English Moss”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

Lots of cut paper on this one! I made this design up as I went and I think the patterned paper with the cut outs from the punch and die cuts went together well. This card is for the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps weekly challenge: Thinking of You. Thanks for visiting.

My 100th Post! OWH Sketch #81

  • Die cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Seventeen” and Memory Box “Bistro Label” for sentiment
  • Rose from “Butterfly Garden Collection” by Pink Paislee
  • Stamp – Lockhart Stamp Company
  • Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Green at Heart: Kelly”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill Basics
  • Pearls – KaiserCraft

I’m pretty amazed that i’ve posted 100 cards already–just in a few months. Anyway, this is a card made using this week’s sketch on OWH Stars and Stripes: Sketch #81. I like this sketch–it is simple and very easy to apply to any card theme. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the 100th post!

CPS Sketch #230

  • Stamps – Rubber Soul “Happy Birthday,” Basic Grey “Insignia stamp set”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

I created the background for this card with Colorbox Chalk inks direct to paper and then went in with a starburst stamp (manufacturer unknown) and stamped over the inked layer. This is an extremely simple card, using the CPS Sketch #230.  With such a “busy” background, I decided to keep it simple! Thank you for visiting.

Mojo Monday Sketch #202

  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey: “Basics Lineup,” “Pyrus: Pirum,” “Pyrus: Chinese White”
  • Die cuts – Spellbinders Netstabilities “Lacey Circles” and “Standard Circles Large”
  • Stamps – Taylored Art Work – “Butterfly,” Hero Arts ‘”Flourish Wave,” Northwoods: “Capital For You”

This card was designed using the current Mojo Monday Sketch #202. The papers are all Basic Grey. Thanks for stopping by.

Clean and Simple Sketch #149

  • Stamps – Hero Arts “Three Butterflies” and Printworks  “Thank You”
  • Patterned paper – My Mind’s Eye “Soothing Floral” from the “Calm” collection
  • Patterned cardstock – BoBunny “Coffee Dot” and “Chocolate Flourish”
  • Border punch – EK Success

I made this card using the Clean and Simple Sketch #149, which is this week’s sketch there. I really like this sketch. The verticle and horizontal bands of pattern are really nice together, yet it is a simple design. The browns and pale greens are sort of soothing, almost Fall colors. Thanks for visiting.
