It has been a long time since I’ve posted with all of the holiday preparations and all! This is one of the cards I made to send from our family. Unfortunately I didn’t make as many as I would have liked to get in the mail. I do love all of the penguins that The Cat’s Pajamas has in their sets! These guys are doing the “See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil” thing! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

- Stamps –
- Large heart – Inkadinkado
- Small heart – My Sentiments Exactly
- Sentiment – A Muse Artstamps
- Die Cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Eyelet Circles” (two sizes) and “Labels Seventeen” for the card base
- Cardstock – Bazzill Basics and BoBunny Back-to-Back Dots
- Ranger Distress Ink in Fired Brick for distressing at the edges
I made this card after visiting the Operation Write Home Happy Hour Blog Skip that showcased the Hero Arts newly released stamps. There was lots of inspiration as I hopped through the different blogs. I was particularly intrigued by the shape of card base of the card created by Julie at “Handmade by Julie.” Her card inspired me to make this Valentine to ship off someone overseas so that they can send it home to a loved one. Thanks for stopping by!

- Die cuts – Spellbinders Poseabilities “Snowflake Wonder”
- Patterned papers – BoBunny St. Nick Sugar Plum (green polka dot) and Heidi Grace Shimmer Flocked paper “Jolly & Bright” (words)
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Brads – Recollections Round Brads
This is my interpretation of the current CPS Sketch #248. The snowflake die cuts are both cut and embossed, which provides a nice texture as does the flocked “fuzzy” paper in the background. Thanks for visiting.

I learned how to make this Origami tree on Operation Write Home a couple of months ago. I used Sketch #169 at Clean & Simple Stamping. This is a pretty sparkly card between the irredescent paper and the glittery star on top of the tree. Thanks for your visit.

I’m excited because today I’m the featured cardmaker on the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Blog! Every Friday they select a different card-inclined person and show some of the cards they have made that have been shipped to the troops. It is always fun to see the different cardmaking styles and techniques we have in our community. I hope to share a card here later tonight, but I have to work late so I’m not sure if it will really happen! Thanks for stopping by.

- Stamp – Inkadinkado “Big Pattern Heart”
- Embossing folder – Cuttlebug “Musical Flourish”
- Die cut – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Lacey Circles”
- Patterned paper – GCD Studios “Chianti Collection: Small Dots”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I was inspired by the current sketch at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Sketch #98 and made this card as a result. I popped up the image and the die cut for a little dimension and inked all of the edges. This is a great sketch–I really like the potential for color-blocking with it. Thanks for stopping by!
