For this card, I used Sketch #113 at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps. I experimented with alcohol inks for the background based on a lesson at the Online Card Classes Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry101 class. I made this card for the Midweek Throwdown “Miss You” Challenge at OWH Stars and Stamps. I used Sketch #232 at Mojo Monday for design inspiration. I added a few spots of color to the owl with Copic markers to spice him up a bit. Lots of pattern going on here, but hopefully it will be cheery for someone to receive! Thanks for visiting.

This is a very simple card that features such pretty stamps and paper that I wanted them to steal the show! The sketch at Card Positioning System (#256) is perfect. The little rhinestones add just a little sparkle to liven things up! Thanks for the visit.

This was a fun card to make for me. It really shows off the “Oceania” paper by Graphic45 and also takes advantage of the border printed on the paper. It also provided me an opportunity to use my new Hero Arts set that was made just for Operation Write Home (OWH). Hero Arts donates 25% of its sales of this set and two others to OWH, which is really great! I made this card for the OWH Midweek Throwdown challenge this week–it is a color challenge to use the colors green and blue on Kraft paper. Thanks for visiting today.

This is another card for the OWH Virtual Cardmaking Party. I made this for the Sand & Sea VCMP Challenge #6. For this challenge we are to use blues and tan. I used some embossing powder for the heat-embossed sentiment that has sort of a sandy quality as well. Thanks for stopping by.

I made this card for the OWH Virtual Carmaking Party going on right now. This is OWH VCMP Challenge #9: Cut It Out, which means we choose die cuts and punches to use in our card designs. Wow! I just saw that this is my 200th post (in less than a year)! Eeek. Time flies and apparently the cards are flying, too!
I created this card for the Virtual Cardmaking party that is going on over at OWH Stars and Stamps. This one is for the VCMP Challenge #1: Hot Tropics, for which we are to make a card using tropical colors. I kind of kept the whole theme tropical for this one. I also used the CPS Sketch that is featured for their Fifth Anniversary celebration: Day 11. This is a really fun sketch to work with and perfect for featuring this paper. Thanks for visiting!

We landlubbers are in the midst of a virtual cardmaking party (VCMP) while some of the other OWHers are on a cardmaking cruise. This challenge is one of the first of many: OWH VCMP Challenge #2: Nautical Masculine Card Challenge. I’ve had this stamp set for a while and hadn’t had an opportunity to use it! I used the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Sketch #106 to create this card. It features a digital image that is part of the current Crafter’s Digital Art Center Progressive Freebie Challenge.
