Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 197

  • Stamp – Magenta “Calligraphy Bird”
  • Cuttlebug Embossing Folder – “Kassie’s Brocade”
  • Die cut – from Spellbinders Nestabilities Foliage set
  • Button – Basic Grey
  • Cardstock – Bazzill and BoBunny
  • Pearls – Queen & Co.

This card was based on the current sketch (#197) at Mojo Monday. The sketch was made for either a square or a round card, but it is hard for me to resist a square card! Thanks for visiting.

OWH – Sketch Challenge #75

  • Patterned papers – BoBunny “Violet Dot” and “Sweet Pear Dot;” Paper Salon “First Blush: Rings;” My Mind’s Eye “Maggie Mae: Hattie Marie”
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Four”
  • Stamp – Impression Obsession “Thinking Label”
  • Organdy swirl ribbon – Creative Impressions

I made this card using the current sketch at Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps: Sketch Challenge #75. This is a great sketch for using up scraps of patterned paper. It is probably my last card to send off to our OWH shipper to send off to the troops for my current box. Thanks for stopping by.

OWH – Love You

  • Stamps – Butterfly from Stampington & Co. – Shore Cliff Elements; sentiment and heart from Inkadinkado “Greetings” set
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Eva” collection and BoBunny “Licorice Dot”
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Fleur De Lis Squares”
  • Pearls – KaiserCraft
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Corner Punch – Marvy Uchida

I made this card as part of the Operation Write Home “Love You” Challenge. I will be sending this, along with a group of other cards, to my OWH shipper this week. Thanks for visiting!

Buggy Saturday – Part 2

  • Stamp – Holly Berry House “Camaroon Scarab”
  • Scarab – stamped with Perfect Medium and then “painted” with Perfect Pearls: Turquoise, Forever Blue, and Forever Green.
  • Corner punch – Marvy Uchida
  • Cardstock – Cordenon So Silk papers in Shocking Green and Fair Blue
  • Rhinestones – KaiserCraft

This is one from the set of 12 Artist Trading Cards I made (all the same) to trade with a stamp group the other night. The Perfect Pearls have a very nice sheen–perfect for the bug, and the paper is pearlescent too! Not sure how clearly you can see the sheen in the photo. Thanks for checking-in.

Buggy Saturday – Part 1

  • Stamp – from Basic Grey “Dragonfly” set – The bee is colored with Copic Markers.
  • Sentiment stamp – Inkadinkado “Greetings”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Wisteria” collection
  • Die cut – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Labels Twenty”
  • Carstock – Bazzill

I based this card on the latest card sketch at Mojo Monday: #196. I’m not sure that these were the perfect papers to choose for this sketch, but I do like the little pieces all put together! And you’ve got to love the bug!

Card Patterns Sketch 120

  • Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Hello Luscious”
  • Border punch – Martha Stewart “French Scroll”
  • Stamp – Live Life set
  • Buttons – Bazzill
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Ribbon – Offray

This card was an interpretation of the current sketch at Card Patterns: Sketch #120. I will be sending it in my next shipment of Operation Write Home cards. Right now, as we work toward sending a second million cards to the troops, there is a demand for “Miss You” and “Love” cards, so that has been my focus the last couple of weeks. Thanks for visiting.

Clean and Simple Sketch # 145

  • Heart stamp – Paper Inspirations “Rose Heart”
  • Sentiment stamp – from the Hero Arts “Live Life”  set
  • Die cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Twenty” and “Fancy Tags Two”
  • Patterned papers – BoBunny and Bazzill polka dots
  • Pearls – KaiserCraft
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

The image on the heart is colored with Copic Markers and I’ve inked the edges slightly with ColorBox Chalk Ink. I used the current sketch at Clean and Simple Stamping: Clean and Simple Layout #145. Thank you for visiting.

OWH Sketch Challenge #74

  • Stamps – “Rosette” by Inkadinkado and “Thinking of You” by Kodomo, Inc.
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Lacey Circles”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Green at Heart” collection: Oscar and Moss
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Pearls – KaiserCraft

This card was designed using the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Sketch #74. This is a very simple card to put together with a nice design. Thanks for stopping by.

CPS Sketch # 222 – Happy Father’s Day

  • Stamp – Inkadinkado “Happy Father’s Day”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Curio” collection
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Edges inked with ColorBox Chalk ink – Chestnut Roan

This card is my husband’s Father’s Day card, made with the current sketch at CPS: Sketch #222. I really like these papers combined–and works well for a masculine card. Thanks for visiting.

OWH – Starburst

  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Boxer” collection (5 different patterns, including the flower)
  • Die cuts – Flower made with “Easy Rosette 017” by The Cat’s Pajamas. After I cut them out (you use two rosettes to make one flower), I accordian folded them and adhered the two pieces to make the flower.  Thanks is stamped on a Spellbinder’s Nestabilities die from the “Curved Rectangles” set.
  • Stamp – Lockhard Stamp Company
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Brad – American Crafts
  • Edges inked with ColorBox Chalk inks.

I followed the tutorial on Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps to make this Starburst card. I enjoy paper piecing and had never made a starburst pattern before. This is really good for using up paper scraps as well!
