Life is better when you laugh a little

This card is based on the Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #64. This is an extremely simple card, but has plenty going on with the patterned papers and the scroll border punch.

  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Mellow” collection, “Cultured” (floral) and “Sapid” (green)
  • Border and corner punches – Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page “French Scroll” set
  • Flower – Petaloo
  • Stamp – Hero Arts “Live Life” set

OWH – Pinwheel Thank You Card

This pinwheel pattern and an accompanying tutorial were featured on Operation Write Home’s Stars & Stripes blog last week. One really nice thing about this pattern is that you can use up your scraps to make a really nice design! It pieces together quickly, so I plan to make some more of these for OWH. Thanks for visiting.

  • Stamp – “Thanks” by Lockhart Stamp Company
  • Patterned papers – Chatterbox “Fabulous Petite Vintage” and “Together Teal”; BoBunny light blue dots
  • Button – Basic Grey, tied with DMC floss
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Ribbon – May Arts
  • Corner Punch – Marvy Uchida

Clean & Simple Sketch #135

  • Butterfly stamp – from Hero Arts “Papillons” set – “Ploris Photodice”
  • Sentiment stamp – “For You” by Northwoods
  • Patterned papers – “Butterfly Ballet” by Memory Box; “Waltzing Matilda” (floral strip) by Memory Box; “Denim Flourish” by BoBunny (flower die-cut)
  • Die cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities – “Blossom Three” and “Labels Twenty”
  • Inked edges – ColorBox Chalk ink; Butterfly colored with Copic Markers
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

This sketch is the current fall-to layout at Clean and Simple Stamping (sketch #135). This will be a perfect card for Operation Write Home. Thanks for visiting.

Happy Thoughts – OWH Sketch #63

This card is designed from the latest Operation Write Home (OWH) sketch: #63. It will go in my next shipment to OWH.

  • Stamp – Hero Arts “Live Life” clear set
  • Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Eva”
  • Cuttlebug embossing folder
  • Die cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Seventeen”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Buttons – The Cat’s Pajamas
  • Corner Punch – Marvy Uchida
  • ColorBox chalk inks on edges and over textured strip

Flowers for You

  • Stamp – “For You” by Northwoods Rubber Stamps
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Fancy Tags”
  • Patterned paper – Chatterbox
  • Flowers & Leaves – Prima
  • Rhinestones – Kaisercraft
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

This card is based on the current sketch at Card Positioning Systems (CPS): Sketch #212. My interpretation is a little bit different, since it was supposed to feature banners strung across it. But I kept seeing flowers with the leaves hanging down (sort of like banners).

A Cup of Tea For You – C&S Sketch #134

  • Stamp – Cup and Saucer – The free stamp from the January 2011 issue of Craft Stamper. I love this stamp. It was designed by Kim Costello for the magazine.
  • Stamp – “For You” from Inkadinkado “Greetings” clear set
  • Patterned papers in yellow, pink, blue and green – Memory Box

The sketch for this card is the current one at Clean and Simple Stamping: Sketch #134. I cut out the cups after stamping them on patterned paper and popped them up in formation.
