Monthly Archives: March 2011

These cards feature “Petals and Poetry” stickers by Penny Black. The card on the right is inspired by the OWH Sketch Challenge #62. Patterned papers include BoBunny polka dots, Basic Grey “Hello Luscious” and Creative Imaginations Signature Collection. Cardstock is Bazzill, die cut is from the Spellbinders Nestabilities “Fancy Tags” set and “Happy Mother’s Day” stamp is by Hero Arts.
I only shipped off a couple of Mother’s Day cards in my small shipment today to Operation Write Home. Every little bit counts!

This was a fun sketch to try from the Card Patterns site. I used it to make a Mother’s Day card to send to Operation Write Home. The troops need lots of cards to send to their mothers and I am going to make a very small contribution. I like to combine pink and green. The color combination and flower make it seem Springy even though the wetaher is not! Thanks for visiting.

- Butterfly die cut – Paper House Productions
- Stamp – “Hello” from Hero Arts “Live Life” Collection
- Patterned paper – American Crafts “Elegant Caviar” (both sides: the dots and the light blue solid)
- Black velvet ric rac
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This sketch is the current one from Operation Write Home. I like it because it is very simple and leaves a lot to individual interpretation. This Hero Arts stamp set is really perfect for OWH cards. It is a group of sentiments that are appropriate and graphically pleasing to stand on their own. This is the first card for my new batch of cards to send to OWH. I sent my first group last week and they have been received for processing. I’d like to do some Mother’s Day cards for my next shipment, but the deadline is fast approaching so I need to get busy!
