Clean & Simple Sketch #165

  • Stamps – (butterly on right and bottom) Stampington & Company Christine Adolph Series “Shore Cliff Elements”
  • (butterfly on left) Waxing Nostalgia (division of River City Rubber Works) “Butterflies are Free”
  • (sentiment) Rubber Soul “Happy Birthday”
  • Patterned papers – K & Company “Jubilee Magenta Accents” and Basic Grey “Boxer: Money Clip” (stamped butterflies on this)
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Button – Bazzill Buttons
  • Ribbon – May Arts

I used the current sketch #165 at Clean & Simple for inspiration for this card. I stamped the butterflies on the Basic Grey paper that had a subtle pattern, cut them out and popped them up for a little dimension. Thanks for stopping by.

Clean and Simple Sketch #162

  • Stamp – Impression Obsession “Solid Florals: Bleeding Heart” and Inkadinkado “Happy Birthday”
  • Ink – Tsukineko Kaleidacolor “Creole Spice” Rainbow pad
  • Patterned paper – Little Yellow Bicycle “Purple Pansy”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

I made this card using the sketch at Clean & Simple #162. I stamped the sillhouette image with clear embossing powder and then brayered the rainbow ink over it. I popped up the image for a little dimension. Thanks for visiting.

Tea-time

  • Stamp – Unity Stamp “The Little Things”
  • Decorative border piece – K&Company
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Seventeen”
  • Edger punch – EK Success “Dotted Scallop”
  • Corner punch – Fiskars
  • Ribbon – American Crafts

OWH – Masculine Card Challenge

  • Stamps – My Favorite Things “Flopsey Fishing” (image and sentiment)
  • Die cuts – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Deckled Rectangles Large” and “Labels Seventeen”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

This is a simple card that I dressed up by coloring the image with Copic markers and added some faux stitching around the edges. Then I popped up the image for some dimension. I made this for Operation Write Home as part of the current Masculine Card Challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Clean & Simple Sketch #159

  • Epoxy Eyelet Charms – Making Memories “Snowflakes”
  • Stamp – Inkadinkado “Silhouettes: Holiday Greetings”
  • Patterned paper – BoBunny “Snowy Serenade Sparkles”
  • Ribbon – May Arts
  • Embossing Folder – Cuttlebug “Snowflakes”

I used the current sketch: Sketch 159 at Clean and Simple Stamping to design this card. I used the snowflake charms with the textured paper created with the embossing folder. The real experiment was stamping directly on the ribbon. The ink bled a little bit, but it wasn’t an entirely failed science experiment! I like the simplicity of the design, yet there is a lot going on with all of the snowflake elements. Thanks for visiting.

My 100th Post! OWH Sketch #81

  • Die cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Seventeen” and Memory Box “Bistro Label” for sentiment
  • Rose from “Butterfly Garden Collection” by Pink Paislee
  • Stamp – Lockhart Stamp Company
  • Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Green at Heart: Kelly”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill Basics
  • Pearls – KaiserCraft

I’m pretty amazed that i’ve posted 100 cards already–just in a few months. Anyway, this is a card made using this week’s sketch on OWH Stars and Stripes: Sketch #81. I like this sketch–it is simple and very easy to apply to any card theme. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the 100th post!

CPS Sketch #230

  • Stamps – Rubber Soul “Happy Birthday,” Basic Grey “Insignia stamp set”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

I created the background for this card with Colorbox Chalk inks direct to paper and then went in with a starburst stamp (manufacturer unknown) and stamped over the inked layer. This is an extremely simple card, using the CPS Sketch #230.  With such a “busy” background, I decided to keep it simple! Thank you for visiting.

Clean & Simple Sketch #152

  • Die cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities: Labels Twenty, Butterflies, and Foliage
  • Stamp – Penny Black “Flourish Birthday”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Wisteria: Fountain” and BoBunny “Clover Dot”
  • Inks – ColorBox Chalk Inks

This card was inspired by the current sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping – Fall to Layout #152.  There is very little stamping involved, just the birthday stamp and inking the edges. I also used the chalk ink to add color to the butterfly, using the die as a stencil. Thanks for visiting.

Clean and Simple Sketch #149

  • Stamps – Hero Arts “Three Butterflies” and Printworks  “Thank You”
  • Patterned paper – My Mind’s Eye “Soothing Floral” from the “Calm” collection
  • Patterned cardstock – BoBunny “Coffee Dot” and “Chocolate Flourish”
  • Border punch – EK Success

I made this card using the Clean and Simple Sketch #149, which is this week’s sketch there. I really like this sketch. The verticle and horizontal bands of pattern are really nice together, yet it is a simple design. The browns and pale greens are sort of soothing, almost Fall colors. Thanks for visiting.

CPS – Card Challenge #226

Stamps – Leaf – Ann-ticipations and Sentiment – Memory Box “Fall Combo”

Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Archaic: Ancient,” BoBunny “Flourish”

I used the Card Positioning Systems Sketch #226 for this card design. I always like to use fall colors and leaves in my cards. Thanks for checking-in.
