OWH – Robin’s Fetish Challenge

  • Stamps – Kodomo, Inc. “Leaves Collection I” and Hero Arts “Live Life” set
  • Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Capella” collection
  • Embossing Folder – Cuttlebug “Kassie’s Brocade”
  • Die cut – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Deckled Rectangles Large”
  • Ribbon – May Arts
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

This card is in response to another one of the Operation Write Home Birthday Bash challenges. This one is for the Robin’s Fetish Challenge to make a card with a round element. I combined a favorite paper, favorite embossing folder and favorite stamps to make this card for Operation Write Home. Thanks for the visit and I hope to see you again soon!

OWH Sketch #87 Challenge

  • Stamps – JRL Design “Fly Fishing” and “Fly Fishing 2” (flies) and Memory Box “Fishing Pole,” The Cat’s Pajamas “TuTu Much Clear Set: Thank You”
  • Patterned cardstock – Die Cuts with a View “Old World Mat Stack”
  • Solid cardstock – Bazzill

I created this card for Operation Write Home, using the current OWH Sketch Challenge: #87. I haven’t used these stamps in ages, so this was a fun challenge for me. This is a very simple design and I had to find the appropriate size and orientation in my stamp stash. I was able to use some of my scraps, which was a good feeling! Thank you for visiting.

OWH – May Arts Challenge – Christmas Card

  • Stamp – Hero Arts “Joy to All” set
  • Patterned papers – Graphics 45 “The Holly and the Ivy” and BoBunny “Wine Dots”
  • Die Cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Fancy Tags Two”
  • Ribbon – May Arts pleated ribbon (yum!)
  • Cardstock – WorldWin

This was created for a fun challenge to create a holiday card using ribbon for a soldier to send home, sponsored by May Arts on Operation Write Home’s Stars and Stamps site! I have this beautiful May Arts pleated ribbon that I really like to use on Christmas cards. I used a Card Positioning Systems sketch for inspiration. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday, Trenton

  • Squirrel image – Photobucket images
  • Patterned paper – Reminisce “Sharing Squirrels”
  • Cuttlebug embossing folder – D’vine Swirl
  • Die cut border – Memory Box “Loop Border”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

I made this card for our son Trenton’s 13th birthday. Since he is a squirrel fan, the hoola-hooping squirrel seemed appropriate, as did the loopy border made with the Memory Box die cut border. We have swirls and squirrels on this card–can’t beat that! Thanks for the visit and have a great day!

CPS Sketch #235

  • Stamp – A Stamp in the Hand “Pear Border”
  • Patterned paper – BoBunny Dots
  • Green textured cardstock
  • Corner punch – Fiskars “Budding Flower”
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Standard Cirles Large”
  • Background card – handmade direct-to-paper with ColorBox Chalk inks
  • Embossing powders – Stampendous “Ultra Detail Gold” and “Ultra Detail Copper (opaque)” and Personal Stamp Exchange “Desert Tapestry”

I was playing with a technique of mixing embossing powders prior to heat embossing for this card (inspired by the August issue of Vamp Stamp News). I used the current sketch at Card Positioning Systems: CPS Sketch #235. Thanks for stopping by.

CDAC Bookworm

  • Bookworm Digital Image – Jen’s Digi Stamps
  • Patterned Papers – BoBunny Back To Basics Turquoise
  • Die cuts – Spellbinder’s Nestabilities “Labels Seventeen”
  • Stamp – “Hello” by Studio G Clear Stamps (Hampton Art Stamps)
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Markers – Copic
  • Ribbon – curling ribbon, origin unknown

This image is part of the Crafter’s Digital Art Center Freebie Challenges – part 2. I colored the bookworm digital image with Copic Markers and layered with some fun BoBunny paper.

OWH – Non-traditional Christmas colors

  • Stamp – Inkadinkado “Silhouettes”
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Green at Heart” and “Eskimo Kisses” collections
  • Cardstock and decorative cardstock strip – Bazzill
  • Sticker – Stampendous “Class A Peal Holidays Chainletter”

This card is for another of the OWH Birthday Bash challenges: non-traditional Christmas colors. The purple background is pretty non-traditional! It was kind of fun to design something a little “out there” for this one. Sending out a special “thank you” to Barb at Paper Therapy Ponderings for hosting this challenge! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

OWH – Celebrating Nature/Birthday Bash

  • Patterned paper – KaiserCraft “Hunt and Gather” collection
  • Border punches – EK Success
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Tag – KaiserCraft Journal Tags “Timeless”
  • Happy Birthday sticker – Mrs. Grossman’s “Happy Birthday Captions”

This card salutes the noble bug! I love this paper! The challenge is one of many at Operation Write Home (OWH) right now, to celebrate its birthday. The virtual cardmaking party right now has many challenges, and this is only one of them: “Celebrating Nature.” Many of my cards celebrate naturel, so this was a fun challenge to participate in. Thanks for the visit!

OWH – Autumn Challenge

  • Stamp – Rubbermoon “Autumn Blessings”
  • Charm – Embellish It!
  • Die Cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Seventeen”
  • Patterned paper – BoBunny “Welcome Home Flourish”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Ribbon – unknown source

This card is for the Operation Write Home Autumn Challenge. It is a very simple card with the patterned paper doing most of the talking with a charm to accent it. Thanks for visiting!

OWH – Thank You Pinwheel

  • Patterned papers – Echo Park Paper Company “Newsprint” (both sides/patterns of the double sided sheet) and BoBunny “Shadow Dot” and “Sugar Dot”
  • Brad – Making Memories “Black and White Jumbo Pebble Brads”
  • Stamp – Printworks “Thank You”
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Shapeabilities “Ribbon Banners”

I made this card for the “CASE Ardeth T.” challenge at OWH Stars and Stamps. One of her cards was using the pinwheel design, which is really fun. I added some faux stitching for something a little different. Thanks for stopping by.
