- Stamps – Basic Grey “Cakes” clear set and Inkadinkado “Happy Birthday”
- Papers – BoBunny “Bashful Dot” and Jenni Bowlen “Vanilla Creme Large Dot Coredinations Embossed Cardstock”
- Ribbon – American Crafts
- Die cuts – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Nine”
This week’s challenge at Operation Write Home is Polka Dots. I have lots of polka dots in my stash: tons of papers, ribbon, round punches, border punches with dots… So I had no problem coming up with something! The cardstock has a lighter colored core, so when you sand it with a sanding block, a lighter color shows through. I stipple brushed ink on the edges of everything as well, so everything is nice and distressed! Thanks for checking-in.

- Squirrel image – Photobucket images
- Patterned paper – Reminisce “Sharing Squirrels”
- Cuttlebug embossing folder – D’vine Swirl
- Die cut border – Memory Box “Loop Border”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
I made this card for our son Trenton’s 13th birthday. Since he is a squirrel fan, the hoola-hooping squirrel seemed appropriate, as did the loopy border made with the Memory Box die cut border. We have swirls and squirrels on this card–can’t beat that! Thanks for the visit and have a great day!

- Stamps – Memory Box “Penguins at Play,” and Hero Arts “Whimsical Happy Birthday”
- Patterned paper – Imaginisce “En fuego: Rrrrumba” (both sides)
- Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Lacey Circles”
- Cardstock – Bazzill
This is another card I made for a challenge at the July 4th virtual cardmaking party at OWH. This one is for Challenge #16: All About Animals. This Memory Box penguin stamp set is pretty fun, since I can “dress up” the penguin with a couple of different ties and hats, and even swimming trunks! I thought a birthday card would be appropriate, since I didn’t have any in my current OWH box. Thanks for visiting.

- Digital Image – Designed by Catherine Scanlon
- Sentiment Stamp – Inkadinkado “Greetings/Salutations”
- Patterned papers – Kaisercraft “Chanteuse Collection” and BoBunny “Passion Fruit Flourish”
- Die cuts made with Spellbinder’s Netabilities: Standard Circles Large, Curved Rectangles, Labels Twenty, and Labels Seventeen
- Button – Bazzill
- Ribbon and twine
I made this card as one of my lessons in an online class by My Creative Classroom. One of the new techniques I learned for this was called Letterpress, which involved inking a Cuttlebug embossing folder with chalk ink, inserting a die cut still in the die under it and then running it through the machine. So it is both embossed and colored with a subtile layer of chalk ink. You need to do this correctly or you’ll cut your embossing folder. If you have a question about the “sandwich” you use in your die cut machine, please let me know.

This was a new challenge for me: Mojo Monday. This particular sketch is Mojo Monday Week 188. I chose to do a square card as opposed to a round card. I didn’t have the energy to try to cut a circle large enough for the card with my circle cutter! Thanks for visiting.
