For Day 22 of the of the @gelliarts March Gel Printing Challenge, the prompt is Pastels. I interpreted this prompt to mean the physical medium, not the color grouping. So I applied Pan Pastels @panpastel through a stencil to create my print(s). The coloring process with these pastels is quite therapeutic and relaxing! And the beauty of using them is you can always get several “editions” from each application because the gel plate holds the pastels even after you apply paint or gel medium over it. I just had to try some cross-stitching on one of my new Lawn Fawn Embroidery Hoop dies. Combining two of my favorite crafty things in one project is the absolute best! I wanted to see the stitched heart as a backdrop for my Platform Pop-up Easter scene. My full supply list and more details are on my blog (link in bio).For Day 21 of the of the @gelliarts March Gel Printing Challenge, the prompt is Rainbow. I love to use my @ranger_ink Distress ink cubes on my gel plates! I love being able to make kind of geometric background with little squares of ink and here I just kept them in straight lines to make my rainbows. I spritzed with water for the bottom print since they are water reactive. After the rainbow layer, I brayered paint through stencils for the contrasting focal points.
