This card was an interpretation of the current sketch at Card Patterns: Sketch #120. I will be sending it in my next shipment of Operation Write Home cards. Right now, as we work toward sending a second million cards to the troops, there is a demand for “Miss You” and “Love” cards, so that has been my focus the last couple of weeks. Thanks for visiting.

- Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Boxer” collection (5 different patterns, including the flower)
- Die cuts – Flower made with “Easy Rosette 017” by The Cat’s Pajamas. After I cut them out (you use two rosettes to make one flower), I accordian folded them and adhered the two pieces to make the flower. Thanks is stamped on a Spellbinder’s Nestabilities die from the “Curved Rectangles” set.
- Stamp – Lockhard Stamp Company
- Cardstock – Bazzill
- Brad – American Crafts
- Edges inked with ColorBox Chalk inks.
I followed the tutorial on Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps to make this Starburst card. I enjoy paper piecing and had never made a starburst pattern before. This is really good for using up paper scraps as well!

The card is my first for Thanksgiving for Operation Write Home. I’m making it as part of their current challenge: OWH Thanksgiving theme. I’ve been waiting to use this stamp set–I got it right after last Thanksgiving. And, there are penguins in the set as well! Hurray! Thanks for visiting.

- Floral stamp – Crafty Individuals – both flower panels are on this stamp (like a diptych) and I just cut them apart for this sketch.
- Sentiment stamp – Kodomo, Inc. – “Thinking of You”
- Patterned papers – Basic Grey – “Basics: Lineup” and “Cappella: Libretto”
- Cardstock – Bazzill and WorldWin
This was very simple and the design was very pleasing. I based it on the sketch at Operation Write Home: Sketch Challenge #72. I just colored the stamped image with Copic markers. I tried to choose cardstock for the sentiment that matches some of the colors in the flowers. Thanks for checking-in.

- Dragonfly Stamp – Stampendous
- Swirl Stamp – Penny Black “Scroll Strip”
- Sentiment Stamp – Hero Arts “Thinking of You”
- Patterned paper – We R MemoryKeepers
- Square Scalloped Punch – Marvy Uchida
- Cuttlebug embossing folder – Polka Dots
- Background – Dryer sheet adhered to cardstock, then run through the Cuttlebug.
This card was made as part of the Operation Write Home “Try a New Technique” Challenge. I decided to try the dryer sheet technique and had mediocre results! The background with the dryer sheet definitely adds a different texture and stamping on it gives you a soft image (I only stamped the scroll stamp on the dryer sheet). It was fun to try something new.

I made this card for the Operation Write Home Summer Fun Challenge. Two cats jumping rope in summer attire seemed pretty much the epitome of Summer fun! Since I just shipped off some cards to OWH this week, this will be the start of my next shipment.
