I’m excited because today I’m the featured cardmaker on the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Blog! Every Friday they select a different card-inclined person and show some of the cards they have made that have been shipped to the troops. It is always fun to see the different cardmaking styles and techniques we have in our community. I hope to share a card here later tonight, but I have to work late so I’m not sure if it will really happen! Thanks for stopping by.

It is fun to use things that are basically “free” supplies when creating, especially since we often use an occasional higher end item! It is fun to use the cardboard itself in some mixed media pieces, but here it works as a nice stamp. I’ve used edges, exposed corrugated edges, and flat paper for many different textures.
