OWH – Celebrating Nature/Birthday Bash

  • Patterned paper – KaiserCraft “Hunt and Gather” collection
  • Border punches – EK Success
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Tag – KaiserCraft Journal Tags “Timeless”
  • Happy Birthday sticker – Mrs. Grossman’s “Happy Birthday Captions”

This card salutes the noble bug! I love this paper! The challenge is one of many at Operation Write Home (OWH) right now, to celebrate its birthday. The virtual cardmaking party right now has many challenges, and this is only one of them: “Celebrating Nature.” Many of my cards celebrate naturel, so this was a fun challenge to participate in. Thanks for the visit!

OWH – Autumn Challenge

  • Stamp – Rubbermoon “Autumn Blessings”
  • Charm – Embellish It!
  • Die Cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Labels Seventeen”
  • Patterned paper – BoBunny “Welcome Home Flourish”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Ribbon – unknown source

This card is for the Operation Write Home Autumn Challenge. It is a very simple card with the patterned paper doing most of the talking with a charm to accent it. Thanks for visiting!

OWH – Thank You Pinwheel

  • Patterned papers – Echo Park Paper Company “Newsprint” (both sides/patterns of the double sided sheet) and BoBunny “Shadow Dot” and “Sugar Dot”
  • Brad – Making Memories “Black and White Jumbo Pebble Brads”
  • Stamp – Printworks “Thank You”
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Shapeabilities “Ribbon Banners”

I made this card for the “CASE Ardeth T.” challenge at OWH Stars and Stamps. One of her cards was using the pinwheel design, which is really fun. I added some faux stitching for something a little different. Thanks for stopping by.

OWH Birthday Bash 2011 – “We R Keeping an Eye on You!”

  • Flowers – Hero Arts “Hero Hues Floral Print Flowers”
  • Die cut – Nestabilities Shapeabilities, “Foliage”
  • Stamps – Hero Arts “Moments Background” stamped on the leaves; Rubber Soul “Thanks”
  • Patterned paper – Basic Grey “Lauderdale” paper pad
  • Eyelet – We R Memory Keepers ‘Fashion Front”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Embossing Folder – Cuttlebug “Swiss Dots”

This card was designed for the “We R Keeping an Eye on You!” challenge at Operation Write Home. This month is the Birthday Celebration at Operation Write Home, celebrating the anniversary of when OWH became a 501(c)(3). OWH is doing a different challenge every day of the month of September. This particular challenge was to make a card using eyelets. I must admit, I haven’t used eyelets in quite a while, so this was a good challenge for me. Thanks for your visit!

Flying Bird

  • Bird – PinkPaislee “Butterfly Garden Collection”
  • Patterned papers – Echo Park Paper Company “Victoria Garden” collection
  • Die cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities “Scalloped Circles”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

This was a really simple card and with this design I was able to feature the pretty patterned paper. Thanks for stopping by.

Summer Balloons

  • Stamps – Verve Stamps “Up, Up & Away” set
  • Sentiment Stamp – Flourishes, Inc. “Orchids” set
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey “Indie Bloom” collection
  • Gems – Hero Arts “Floral Dots” and KaiserCraft pearls
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

This card design was completely CASEd (Copy and Share Everything) from an article in Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine, Volume 17, Number 3. They featured this Verve stamp set which I really like with the hot air balloons! Enjoy your day and thank you for visiting.

Crafty Individuals’ Flutterbies

  • Stamp – Crafty Individuals “Butterflies Collage Quad”
  • Patterned paper – KaiserCraft “Hunt and Gather” 6-1/2″ paper pad
  • Die cut – Memory Box “Amira Flouish”
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Tissue tape – Tim Holtz “Nostalgia”

This is a fun card I made using elements that went together visually and that I really like. So this butterfly stamp features not only the insects themselves, but flourishes, text, postmarks and music. I chose the die cut since it emulates a butterfly and is a flourish also. And the Tim Holtz tissue tape just tied in with the rest. Thanks for checking in here!

OWH – Sketch Challenge #84

  • Stamp – Memory Box “Dashing Squirrel”
  • Patterned cardstock – BoBunny “Back to Back” Dots and Flourishes
  • Corner punch – Fiskar’s “Budding Flower”
  • Button – Jesse James Beads “Dress it up”
  • Twine

I used the OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch #84 for this card. I colored the squirrel with Copic markers. The squirrel stamp is made by Memory Box, a fantastic company from Seattle. I love their stamps and their new die cuts.  Thanks for visiting!

CPS Sketch #233

  • Stamps – The Cat’s Pajamas “Little Sparkle,” Judikins “Flouish,” and sentiment stamp from Hero Arts’ “Live Life” set
  • Patterned papers – Basic Grey Indie Bloom 6″ X 6″ collection
  • Cardstock – Bazzill

We’re back from camping so I can post some of the cards that I made this past week.  No Internet connection (or electricity!) there! I think I managed to keep most of the dust off of the cards and the squirrels were fairly scarce, so I don’t think there are an abundance of wildlife prints!

This card was inspired by Sketch #233 at Card Positioning Systems (CPS).
